Chapter 4: The Nexus
As Kiro fell asleep his mind drifted into a dream. “Are you … an Infernian?” asked a mysterious man hiding in the shadows. “Yes… why do you ask?” Kiro replied. “You can’t be trusted… I sense a powerful but extremely evil power within you!!” the mysterious man said. Kiro looked slightly confused at the man, “You’re wondering what my name is aren’t you?” “Yes.” “My name is Kane.” “Very well now answer me this… how do you know me.” “I have my ways… but I’ll give you a little heads up, beware of enemies of similar looks...” Kane said as he vanished from the shadows and Kiro sudden woke up. As Kiro’s eyes opened slightly he suddenly heard his communicator go off and stepped outside to the field to see what the latest was. “Kiro, here come in.” Kiro answered. “Kiro, this is Rei… I haven an urgent mission for you to take.” Rei said. “Fill me in?” “Well… it has to do with the ice planet, Cryogen. There is a rumor about an Ozuraian attack on the Oracle of Ice.” “Well… I’ll do it only if you can do me a favor.” “Name it.” “Can you pinpoint the location of the Oracle of Earth?” “Sure just give me a minute.” “Ok, I got its location… oddly enough its on the wind plant of Aerolitha” “Probably decided to split into two to get both the Wind and Ice Oracles.” “That’s our best guess.” “Thanks Rei, I’ll contact you as soon as I finish the mission.” “Roger, over.” Rei said as the communicate cut off. Kiro headed back to his room and fell back asleep.
Later that morning Both Kiro and Ryle wake up, had breakfast and met up with the village elder. “Hey, I got some information on where the Oracle of Earth is.” Kiro said. “Really? Where at?” Ryle asked. “It’s apparently on the Wind planet of Aerolitha” Kiro replied. “I see… well I’ll head there and prevent that from happening along with get the Oracle of Earth back.” Ryle said now determined to fulfill his new found mission. “Ah, Ryle and Master Kiro, please follow me… we have no time to waste.” The village elder said as he guided them to a portal. “This is the Nexus… it ties all the planets together and is said the be the core of the universe.” The elder said as he set the coordinates to Aerolitha. “Looks like I’m up first.” Ryle said as he stepped in. “Oh, Kiro… after our missions are done lets meet up in the Nexus.” Ryle said before going fully in. Afterwards the elder set the coordinates to Cryogen. “Thank you elder.” “Don’t worry about it… and good luck to you.” The elder said. Kiro walked through and slowly made it to his destination.
