Part 6- Unheard
Naomi touched the part of her chest where her heart beat quickly. She wanted to cry and jump with joy. Toshiro had never ever held her before or like the way he just did Naomi still was running at that moment but stopped suddenly. She felt someone watching her and not to mention following her. Naomi spun around and saw Momo standing before her gaze. Momo looked like she was about to cry but put a smile on her face. The smile was forced ”Naomi-san? I see..you an Shiro-chan have been getting quite close.“ Momo seemed to be trying to keep calm. Naomi put her hand on her sword handle. What would Momo do? Naomi looked down to the ground, her blue eyes flickered to a teal color. She didn’t want to say anything to Momo but it was true.
Naomi felt like a cornered mouse being tortured by a cat. If Momo wanted to say something then why didn’t she say it? Naomi understood that all she had left was Toshiro Histuguaya since Captain Aizen had been declared a traitor. Not to mention that he had hurt her and played with her. Maybe Naomi shouldn’t get involved with Toshiro at all? Naomi felt herself slowly feeling guilty about everything. Her feeling from before, and all the time Toshiro had spent time with her. All she wanted was to have a relationship and was that wrong?
Momo’s voice broke through Naomi’s thoughts and feelings. She had her fist clenched “I saw what you and Toshiro had done moments ago. It may have just been a hug but I think it was more! He seems to be getting emotionally involved with you. I know he cares about you a lot and is trying to be there for you but...” Momo’s voice trailed off and then she looked at Naomi with anger “...I want you to stay away from him! Y-you b***h!” She screamed. Naomi felt a stab in her heart and then she felt her anger boil. Did Momo think she was the only one with pain of lost ones? Naomi understood that Aizen had betrayed her completely only 2 months ago but it was wrong what she was saying! Momo looked at Naomi searching for any response to what she had said. She was honest with what she said. It wasn’t her that Toshiro was mean’t to protect, It was Naomi who had been betrayed and it wasn’t Naomi who had been friends with Toshiro since they were children!
Naomi was staring at the ground not sure what to say. She didn’t want to say anything out of anger or it might cause problems. A breeze blew between the 2 soul reapers but it was not effective. Naomi looked at Momo ready with words. She breathed in “You think that Toshiro belongs to you because he has been your friend since child hood? He has protected you so much? Because of Aizens betrayal? Well, You’re not the only one who has lost someone they cared about or felt betrayed in anyway!” Naomi felt her pulse beat a bit faster.
Momo looked confused and Naomi frowned. She then went on “Let me clear it up with you if you have not found out yet! Very recently I ran away or at least tried to anyway. Why? Because My brother and sister recently died. Sakura and Kira died because of a hollow to let you know. They were on a field mission! So ha! You’re not the only one who needs comfort and a helping hand! If you think i’m a b***h that must make you one as well!” Naomi said. Momo stood still and watched Naomi leave.
Naomi walked away from Momo. She came out form the trail and saw Toshiro. He was standing still watching Naomi walk away form Momo. He sighed “Time to go. “ Naomi looked at him “Aren’t you upset?” She saied him. Toshiro didn’t answer but kept walking.
