Updates, Updates, Updates!
Well, I haven't for a while, so I finally decided to, even though I really hate typing on this silly keyboard. xP So what's new?
I'll go back to around 2 weeks ago. We went to go see my cousin who has colon cancer, and had just had surgery. Visiting hours are really strict there, so of course we missed it completely. ._.
Just as we were trying to figure out what our next course of action would be, my cousin's cousin{?} came and led us to a gas station, where she filled up our tank for free. O_O We went out there on almost E, and she filled it up. 75 dollars. That's how much it took to fill our tank completely. We've never had a completely full tank of gas, or at least not in a looong time.
As if this weren't enough, she then took us out to eat at Pappadeaux. Honestly...we haven't been out to eat since 04, so yeah...we were floored by her kindness. ;.; <3 Later on, we went to see my cousin, and went home.
The next week was weird, to say the least. One by one, everyone in the house got sick, except for me. O_o; I'm usually one of the first to get sick, but this time...nothing. I made it. I was amazed.
We didn't get out the house for a full week, which was saying something, since my mother loves to shop. Sure we missed Mardi Gras, but eh, oh well.
Fast forward to this week, poor Dustin. (cousin in the hospital) He came back home saturday, and the next morning, woke up in pain. They sent him to the hospital and gave him some pain reliever, and said that was all they could do, and sent him back to Houston. The hospital there said they can't do anything for him, and now even he's losing hope. He keeps saying he's ready to go, he's tired...it's really horrible. sweatdrop I don't want to talk about it much, since it's bad enough to hear about here, but yeah...I'm not giving up on him though. Gotta have faith.
As for this week, well, Lent starts. surprised gonk As usual, we in the house are giving up junk food and music, and yeah, it's gonna be hard. emo We're trying to get all out of our system now though, and I'm looking forward to it.
Also, today was my cousin Auti's 9th birthday. I've been looking for an opportunity to give those little girls my old dollhouse, and this was perfect. It's kinda beaten up, but still has most of the pieces, so I'm really excited to give it to them. They'll give it a better run than I did. heart Well, that was as short as I could make it while hitting all the big stuff. Leave a comment if you read, thanks!
