Cruelty in Numbers
Why to they pick on me...
How many can there be...
Do they single us out...
Why do they like to see us pout...
Is there one or twenty-one...
How can they have fun...
Why joke about some one's difficulties...
How can they stand to tease...
Some of us retaliate...
All we do is bring out our hate...
Some say, "Life isn't worth this pain"...
"There is just nothing more to gain"...
Thy call themselves our friend...
For some, they are our end...
To feel important, they make us cry...
To us, bridges and buildings help us fly...
Some are young...
They make us want their necks wrung...
Some are old...
We may never become bold.
