Anyway, Halloween was interesting. My dad was in Boston and was supposed to come back around 6 something on Halloween and my mom was at a chorus rehearsal for a HUGE chorus of over 140 people that she's in almost an hour away so I was home alone with my siblings.
We were watching Truth or Scare and then the electricity went totally off. It was really creepy. They had just finished saying "Could it be true that there really isn't such thing as Halloween being haunted and that it really is just the trick-or-treaters pulling all the tricks?"
Then it took us over an hour trying to light our pumpkins. I had my sisters carting candles outside and trying to shield them so the wind wouldn't blow them out but just about as soon as they opened the door the candles blew out. Then once we actually got them in the pumpkins (which turned out awesome btw) they blew out two seconds later. I swear I wasted over 50 matches. I should have counted but no joke, I'm sure it was around 50-60. It was sad. We gave up and used these little fake candles that are rechargable and put paper towel around them so they wouldn't be ruined. That left two more pumpkins to light cause we only had two of the fake candles.
My sister suggested using flashlights but I didn't think my mom would let us so we continued to 'attempt' to light the candles...
Then my mom got home and we explained and she was like. "Why didn't you just use the flashlights?"
Man we felt stupid. Lol. Yesterday though was a much better night to light them though. Much much better cause it wasn't so windy. It was kinda funny.
Here's my sister's pumpkin that I did for her. It's kinda hard to tell cause when we finally got the picture it had already curled in a little bit but it was better at first. I almost killed the knife doing...Kuroneko from TRIGUN!

And my pumpkin was sort of inspired by Wolf's Rain. ^_^ Look at the yellow eyes. That's the fake candle in the background but it makes the eyes look like they're glowing. ^_^

And here's us...sorta weird picture but we were supposed to be Guinevere, Mulan, and Cinderella. Heh... sweatdrop
Still turned out cute though right? ^_^
