I watched the blood begin to drip
The beat of my heart began to slip
With one slow glance towards the mirror
I catch the sight of your lost tear
You told me you were leaving
My heart just couldn't take the grieving
Falling to my knees I feel your hand
Along with my wrist wrapped in a band
I thought your death was on the file
So despite the pain I find a smile
My fingers gently graze your cheek
Your warm embrace is all I seek
In a pool of blood we sit together
This time we promise is forever
Gripping your hand I hold you close
As we both recover from an overdose
When from the blood we finally move
There is little we need to prove
Moving slowly we reach the bed
Laying together no words are said.
