I'm kind of in a sad mood so I wrote a little thing that describes the friendship between my friends and I and how it's falling apart...
~*~
I just sat there on the bench, listening to one of my favorite songs over and over again. It was part of the Chrono Trigger Original Soundtrack. It was called, "To Far Away Times." It most certainly fit my current mood. Its smooth melody made tears start to fall down my face. I was just thinking about the fun days I had with some of my friends.
We all met on a fan fiction website. What brought us all together was a cub called the "Kikyo Lovers Club." Back then, I used to be a Kikyo Hater. So, along with my fellow Kikyo Haters, I flamed the club. Kikyo fans joined in and shared their opinion about the Inuyasha character. We all didn't like what they were saying so we were insulting them as well. Two days later, the Kikyo Haters and the Kikyo fans became friends. The reason being was that we both hated the Kikyo lovers. It was really funny how we all become so close over a short period of time. We all hung out there in the website, talking to each other all day. Out usual tight group consisted of ten people. We also brought in several other friends but they never became as close with us.
There was CK, who became my first friend on Anime Spiral, the website we all met on. She was the leader of the Kikyo Haters and an awesome writer. She really enjoyed reading my story, "Different Ways to Kill Kikyo." We were alike in so many ways. She understood what it felt like to attend a private school and to be treated differently just because we liked anime.
Liz was the second friend I made on Anime Spiral. She was also a Kikyo Hater. Her, CK, and I were best friends. Liz had a crush on someone on Anime Spiral so CK and I began to tease her about it. We were "forbidden" to drop any hints to the guy. So, as a joke CK and I wrote poems about the situation. But when Liz found out that he liked her as well and they began going out. But two days afterwards, he broke her heart. We comforted her until she felt better.
Kinbari was the next one I befriended. She, too, was a Kikyo Hater. We weren't so close until we began our little war with the Kikyo Lovers. She was seriously hilarious though. She always had jokes to tell and she was really good at playing, "Which One?" I remember when Yoshibi and I were playing with her. Kinbari gave out the two worst decisions ever. But still, she's funny and a great friend.
I met Aki when CK was writing one of her random stories. She had a quirk for killing any Inuyasha fan girls and Kikyo. It was really funny. She was one of the people that were fighting against the KL club. I haven't talked to her for the past few months because her Internet died completely and it hasn't been restored yet.
Next up were Shinji and Kesshou. They were the two people who we all hated at first but then became friends later. Shinji is my best friend right now. She and I could be classified as sisters or maybe even twins. We were always beating up boys or anyone that pissed us off. We were always thinking about really sadistic stuff and about fighting. When Kinbari and I first met her, we really hated Shinji because of her views about Kikyo. Then we all understood each other and became close friends.
Kesshou was considered my special therapist and source for advice. She's only a year older than me, but I have no clue how she got so wise. She has very long explanations for things but they always get to the point. She had some trouble with her ex boyfriend when they broke up and she was feeling really down. So all of us helped consult her and give her advice to move on. Then we made up the joke where we all should become therapists. She helped me slip out of part of my depression as well.
Kameko helped ignite the flames of war between the Kikyo Haters and Fans and the Kikyo Lovers. She created a war ground where we all could throw insults back and forth. But soon, the place also became our original hangout. It held so many fond memories of us talking and laughing and having a good time with each other.
Kameko introduced us to Tamaki. They were best friends in real life and then we all became friends altogether. Tamaki was random but she was funny. She made jokes all the time even when we were serious about something. She helped lighten everyone's mood for the time being. She certainly was a good person to talk to.
Chione was the oldest out of everyone. We always made cracks about her horrible driving but she never took it personally. She was my favorite authoress on Anime Spiral. I never thought that I would become such good friends with her. She had an amazing imagination and added such random humor to it. I just wish that I could become a good writer like her someday.
Finally, there was me. I was the last person in our little group of friends. I enjoyed every minute of fun we had together. They were such good memories to cherish forever. But now, they are far away times. We all split up since the new school year began. We all were busy to talk to each other. While we might talk occasionally, those precious moments together were gone without a doubt.
I wiped the tears from my face but new ones replaced them. We all had moved on from the memories we created with each other. I knew I wasn't supposed to dwell on the past, but I felt so alone inside. I talked to a few here and there but we never really hung out altogether like we used to. The cold pit inside of me was the pain of letting go. We were all drifting away…and that's what makes me sad. Our friendship with each other is falling apart while out memories only remain...
I stared up at the sky with tears clouding up my eyes. I smiled sadly when I heard the ending part of the song. It was part of a theme called, "Epilogue - To Good Friends."
Here are to the special memories...
To far away times...
To good friends...
I love you all.
