today was a pretty good day if i do say so myself. first period we worked outside which basically rocked. it was cool enough so that my skin was freezing to the touch, but i still felt warm enough without a jacket, and we were doing skits, which basically meant that i spent the whole time laughing with my group. then durring second period we read through part of Oedipus. i dont care much for the story, but it's so beautifully written. i love the meter it has, so i almost have to listen. i didnt think that third period would be so great, but it was cool. i got the trivia right AND finished my hangman program ^^. thats good because i wont be there on thursday, so i dont have to worry about making it up and i dont have to worry about kevin gettingahead of me in trivia. we have a competition going on =P while precalculus didnt exactly hold me spellboud, i didnt fall asleep even once *which took a superhuman effort, i assure you* so then after that i got my yearbook and saw that they mispelled my name on a whole new level. natasiha. wtf? oh well, at least its something different. after school i got mike to sign my yearbook before i went home, where devin made me listen to the best song i've heard in a while. it's called 'stronger' by kanye west. if you havent heard it, you should. good lyrics, good meter, and good rhyme. i'm impressed =P
on top of all this, did anyone see the sky tonight before it got totaly dark? it was beautiful! the last purple-blue glow that lit the sky illuminated the clouds in such a way that they looked like islands. i could envision the mainland, then two smaller islands. as my eyes wanderd higher to the cresent moon, i could almost see the dreamworks man fishing in the ocean. classic.
then i got home and started petting Buddy, my neighbors cat, until i saw another cat whose name i do not know, but he stayed with me for a few hours before so he's cool. i moved to about 4 feet away from him and extended my hand to see if he would come to be pet or not, and he did, but then moved away. it kept happening and he'd always look back as though checking to see if i was still there. it was as if he wanted to lead me somewhere, and i was so tempted to follow, but it would have been unwise to do so because i was in socks and i would have been in trouble for leaving. then buddy got all territorial and scared the other cat away. he was mad at me for the rest of the night and wouldnt let me pet him, so i went back inside. so yeah, all in all, it was a good day.
