Prologue
November 8, 1997, Merlin, Oregon, United Stated of America
Ten years ago, along the outskirts of Merlin, Oregon, in the US, two men stare at each other in the middle of what seemed to be a small forest. They stand fifty yards from each, without moving, just staring at each other intently. One of them was a tall Caucasian man with short, straight yellow-blond hair. He had dark sunglasses on; he wore a light-blue dress shirt with yellow trim over a long-sleeved white shirt. His dress pants were also light-blue with a pair of yellow stripes down the sides. He looked to be maybe twenty-five and was, more or less, evil-looking. The other was Caucasian as well, but was a little bit shorter. His jet-black hair was frosted with a blood-red color – the same color as his eyes. He wore a jet-black sweater and sweat-pants with red trim. The gloves he wore were matching with the rest of his outfit. He didn’t look to be a year older than seventeen, and had an ‘I-don’t-care-what’s-going-on’ sort of expression. They both looked mad at each other; as if one caused something bad to happen to the other.
........After about ten minutes of doing nothing but staring, both decided to make their move. The man in red and black’s expression did not change as fire formed around his hands and in his eyes. The man in yellow and blue smirked as lighting began to crackle around his fists and crept up both of his arms. The two ran toward each other, and upon impact, they created an explosion at least forty feet in diameter.
........When the smoke finally cleared, you could see that they appeared to be unharmed, but each was blown back several feet from each other. This failed to bother either of them and they ran toward each other again.
The Fire Elemental punched at the Lightning elemental, burning his shoulder. The Lightning Elemental quickly recoiled by upper-cutting the Fire elemental. Lightning shot everywhere as the one in yellow made impact with his fist on the Fire elemental’s chin, followed by a ton of force that caused the Fire Elemental to do a back flip before landing back on his feet.
........The Fire elemental intensified the flame engulfing his fist as he got up, then he punched in the direction of the Lightning elemental, shooting a fireball at him. He repeated this several times before he stopped and looked down on the injured Lightning elemental, who was still standing, but the pain from the injuries caused him to slump forward. He staggered to get back to his normal posture, but failed. In anger, he held out his hand in the direction of the Fire elemental, palm down and looking as if he were holding a sphere. After a bit, a ball of plasma formed in his hand, and minute or two after, lightning began to shoot everywhere, then he threw the ball of plasma at the elemental of Fire, who didn’t look at all amused by the move being used on him. He jumped out of the way of the attack, narrowly dodging it. He swung his arm around, leaving a trail of fire behind it, and then he punched the other elemental, severely singeing his face as a flare burst on impact.
........The Lightning elemental fell to the ground in pain. He became blind in one eye after that last attack, but he could still fight nonetheless. He quickly got up and ran up to the Fire elemental, then grabbed for his arm to try and electrocute him, but missed as the attack was dodged and he ended up falling face-first into the dirt, injuring his burn even more, as if it mattered to him. All he was focused on right now was finishing off this fight.
........The Fire elemental substantially intensified the flames in his hand; his body was now giving of flares, his hair was defying gravity as the updraft from the flames pushed it into the air. Somehow, his clothes seemed to be defying the heat. When the flames in his hand were powerful enough, he drove his fist into the ground, causing bursts of flame to shoot from it all around; igniting everything it touched, the flames from his hand never got higher than a few inches from the ground until the hit something. Before long, the attack had taken over 100 yards, and the Lightning elemental was swept from his feet as soon as he gotten to them, his face was yet again smothered in dirt. He never got back up after that. The attacked had burned him to death.
........When the elemental of Fire finally finished his attack, he stood up and walked over to the formerly opposing elemental; who was now lying dead on the ground. The Lightning elemental was still burning up, his skin was melting and he no longer had hair, some of his bones were even showing and the blood seemed to evaporate before it left his body.
........The elemental of Fire turned and walked away in no apparent direction as if nothing had happened, ceasing the fire in his fists from burning any longer, and he now waited for the next battle to begin.
