~The Pain People Try to Hide~
poem
The pain of his pass was written on his face.
The pain of loss and fear.
He told us what he saw the blood, sweat, and tears.
Why must people try to hide what he went through?
He came to our school to share his life.
Why did many people not know about the war that he lived though?
The words made we weep, ever if I did know him.
But I could see it in my mind.
Why must people try to hide what he went through?
My family fought for my freedom and the freedom of so many.
Yet so many don’t know of there fight.
I know though stories and school.
But many of us where sheltered from the dark side of the world.
Why must people try to hide what he went through?
I will never know whom to blame.
I only tell you what I have to say.
He came to tell us what he saw and what he lived
It takes great strength to speak of the past.
When I saw him look at the numbers on his arm,
I new he relived this pain everyday.
Why must people try to hide what he went through?
