Today was the strangest day. But first let me tell you about something weird. Yesterday a storm blew in. It was a horrible thing. And I have seen a lot of storms that gave birth to twisters. I looked up and watched the sky before I went into the grocery store. When I did I saw how the wind was all over the place and the temp dropped like 20 degrees or more and I knew this one had a twister to add to it. It sent a chill up my spine. I didn't like it one bit. But we didn't get a twister here. I did just read though that one hit a boy scout camp and killed some of the boy scouts in another state though. I don't think it was the same storm system. But I just knew something bad was going to happen yesterday. I hate it when I am right.
Today, we finally got the check from the insurance company for our totaled truck. I don't see how in the world we are supposed to get another truck with what they gave us. I am not at all happy with the results of our truck hunting we did today. People we normally would do business were seriously over priced. One man was so rude my husband was angry and told him we would not be back again. One of the truck dealers was so comical I took notes in the car so I could use him in a story someday. But all in all it was so hot and my blazer doesn't have AC that we finally gave up and came home. I don't think we will be getitng anything from a dealer. We will have to look for individuals to by from in the paper and things like that. But we have got to have another truck soon.
I fixed taco salad for supper and my stomache is so sick that I can't think straight. Thats enough to add to my afternoon of leg problems. I am tired of that anyway.
I did get some time in the pool and got some grocery shopping done and I am glad to have the shopping out of the way. I don't want to do any more of that for a while. I don't like to shop and never really have. Funny how so many of my friends work in the grocery store... does that mean I spend way too much time there?
I gave my friend her gift yesterday. I am glad she liked it. I was glad to earn it for her. She deserved it.
I didn't know that Gaia had a theater group. I got the announcement today. That is soo cool. I will be glad when they have another production. I would like see one seeing as I can never find a chance to go to theater here. I dont even get to go to the movies but about once every few years. But the theater is very rare around here and I have never had the chance to go even when they do have a production. I love to see a play even if its just plain silly. I think this will be a fun thing to watch unfold.
I hope I find another quest soon. So far the ones I have had have fallen into my lap and I have enjoyed them. I would like to do a lot more of them.
