Hail to the King baby
Campaign Continued...
So a few years ago, a friend of mine and I were coming up with a campaign that would herald off two new d20 gaming books. We would create one campaign, but have it done in two different systems so that we could do it at each other's gaming con. Mine was to be Slayers d20 (based off of the anime), and his was going to be BESM's Anime d20. We had the same character styles, and enemies, but the classes would be specific to our books. Because I had more knowledge on how each system worked, he had me build the characters while he worked on the villains, everyone's storylines, and the concept. It went pretty well until he finished university, went back home, and disappeared for a while. The campaigns were put on the back burner for a few months, and when university started again, he came back as I expected he would. The problem was he was now a changed person. He and his girlfriend had gotten serious, and she had told him that if he wanted to keep her, he would have to give up role playing. But not WoW. Oh no, not that. It was something that they could do together. xp So he apologized, gave me the notes he had kept, and wished me good luck on finishing everything on my own. That year he graduated, went back home, and I haven't heard from him since.

So I still have everything, and after going through it all, I decided that I'd try to have it completed by next year for Prairie Con's 30th convention. The problem is that his notes are sketchy at best, and he only has the concepts down. For his campaign he had written it out that the boss character would be a radioactively created mutant five-headed dragon. For mine, it was a chimera project gone wrong which had combined the five colour dragons with a hydra. I got the dragon's henchmen done. That was easy. It's just a bunch of bandits, thieves, assassins, and rogues that follow the incarnation of evil's legacy of turning the world into chaos, where the strong and wicked rule the world. What low-life wouldn't enjoy that?

I thought this would all be a pipe dream, but thanks to friends Aiyana_of_Limdule and Ledlin, that dream is now a reality. Originally it was supposed to be a game for PCs of level 12, but after giving it some thought, I'm going to make the PCs all lv 12, and a few of the characters with level adjusting races, I'll let them go over by one or two levels. I want these guys to at least be able to hit their enemies.

lol Welcome. It's nice to be part of something so epic isn't it? Bet you didn't think you'd be participating in a campaign that was years old.
