Background: Sanjo has been a wanderer for a long portion of his life, moving from place to place without aim or reason.
He wasn’t the stereotypical character, his parents didn’t die, they didn’t abuse him, he didn’t have a bad life as a child, he simply felt like wandering. He left home when he was 17, opting out of finishing high-school because the teachers bored him. He was always ahead of the class, and found the stupidity of his classmates annoying. He just plain couldn't stand staying around them any more, so he left.
Along the way, a while after he turned 22, he met up with a Kung Fu Master of the Zui Quan school. Having already taken a liking to alcohol of all kinds, he found it was a good way to go. He'd never had problems with fights, since he managed to avoid them most of the time, he figured that having at least some form of defense would be useful. In a matter of a year and a half, he mastered the art, quickly matching and surpassing his master. With fond farewells, he left his master behind, once more resuming the life of a wanderer.
He’s continued to wander the Earth, hitch-hiking when possible, walking when necessary, sleeping often and anywhere.
