Towns Watching I've been hanging out in Towns lately, just watching the comings and goings of its "citizens." It's really rather interesting. People tend, for the most part, to leave me alone. The only ones who really end up talking to me are young teenage boys that don't realize I'm an old woman of 25 (old compared to them, 10 years is quite the difference). I try to act cordial and ladylike while I'm in Towns. I should come up with some rules of engagement or something. I imagine myself as being like a Companion as Inara from Firefly is. So far, only one person has actually been polite enough to ask if I would mind them sitting and talking with me. But I guess that's to be expected, as most kids don't have manners these days. I totally blame the parents.

Not entirely true. I'm fifteen-years-old and I know a lot of kids my age that, like me, are just outright nice and polite. But there's also many other kids that are just spoiled rotten. I know that as the younger generations get, the more spoiled and selfish they are.

But that kind of thing is based on how kids are raised, what environment they are raised in, and the influences in their environment [and any other factors I failed to mention].
