Come, take a walk with me.
I'll just lay back and let you see,
How to every shard of me,
There'll always be that something, that no one else can see.
They all made their mark,
I suppose.
They all abandoned me in the dark,
But every one of their scents still taints my heart, my body, and even my clothes.
Is it so much to ask?
That just once, this magical feeling could last?
I want to feel that longing,
Want to wake up with the same person day after day.
I just have to know that there can be something.
Something to bring me hope,
That I will one day feel this mangled heart race again.
You say it's healing.
I say it's blistering.
It's a ripping away, my way of shedding skin.
I want to express that feeling.
I want to fall right into the ocean of Eros shamelessly.
I want to look into someone's eyes, and say "I love you," again.
But this time... I don't want it to end.
I feel trapped in this land of stereotypes.
Of soon abandoned trends,
And two faced friends.
I want my spirit to be carried to new heights.
I want to feel that warmth in my chest.
I want to feel that gooey feeling, just like all the rest.
Is it so much to ask?

All the data I collect seems to lead to one conclusion.
I can't let this misconception finally take.
I see only one solution.
I may be used,
scarred,
abused.
May even go so far as to say emotionally barred.
I know I deserve love.
I know this, not from something I heard from above.
I've become so cozy in my hallways solitude.
I say it's high time for an interlude.
So brave my stage if you dare,
But the funny thing is...
There's no line of auditions,
Because no one really seems to care.
