An expansion of the idea behind the Paradox Battle. Rather than having every battle in a different location, why not put each battle in the same place? Hence, the Gallery of Memory!
Concept: Hidden beneath the Hall of Heroes (I.E. The Record Hall) in Barton Town, is a strange gallery filled with paintings of Gaia's Past and Present. No one knows exactly who painted these strange works, nor how they got their. And new ones seem to appear periodically. The paintings are so realistic, it feels as though the figures on the canvas can move! But it's just your imagination, right?
The Gallery of Memory is an area that can only be accessed if a member of your crew has completed the Gallery of Memory quest. Due to the danger of the Gallery, it's recommended that the players wear rings of a fairly high charge level before examining any of the paintings.
The Gallery is filled with a special kind of Animated, known as a Phantom Painting. The painting, when Animated, effectively functions as a portal. This is how it feeds. However, it doesn't eat people. It eats what is known as a Memory Charm (sold by Nicolae for a nominal fee). If you approach one of the paintings with a Memory charm in your inventory, you have the option to enter it. This is how the gallery works.
There are two subsections of the Gallery of Memory, one is devoted to fighting bosses from previous storylines. (Vlad, Flarn, GamGino, Jack and RoboSanta, LabtechX) in addition to Invasion Challenges (Zombie, Alien, Vampire).
If there are Event bosses, they can be added here as well.
The other Gallery is filled with increased difficultly versions of bosses encountered normally throughout the game. (Thus allowing people to replay Quest only Bosses)
Depending on what type of Memory Charm you use, you can fight tougher versions of all of the bosses. (Bronze is the easiest difficulty, while Platinum is insane!)
With the proper Charm in your inventory, approach a painting with your Crew, click on it, and select which charm you want to use.
You will be teleported to an instanced map, and will face the boss depicted on the painting. If you manage to defeat the boss, all players will receive a special equippable item, or loot, in addition to a badge. Clearing certain numbers of paintings at certain difficulties will also unlock badges and rewards.
This is basically an area for the hardcore players, who want an extra challenge. It doesn't have an effect on the story line, and is completely optional. The charms make a good goldsink though.
