So. Mechacon.
I know what you're thinking;
And you can stop right there.
Mechacon was awesome.
There were SO many other people there, who were, well, just like us in our group.
Weird, obnoxious, and just plain silly. xD
It was a HUGE turnout, and we're already planning next year's.
There were a few things, however, that I wish would have gone better.
See,
Friday morning, around 5am, Ida texts me, saying "I spilled coffee on the jacket"
She was making my outfit.
[I was gonna be Roxas.]
I was SO excited, and then she sent that message.
I asked more, and she told me that her cat had bumped into a coffee cup, that got all over my satin jacket.
Ate right through it.
Thinking there was no point in bringing them, I left my Keyblades,
[I made one, and I bought one online.]
And the shoes I made at home.
We get in the car, and we drive over to Wal-mart to pick everyone up, and we drive off.
Once there, we sit and watch all the people who dressed up.
It was so cool, seeing our favorite anime characters walking around. xD
Eventually, Ida tells me that my pants were fine.
[The outfit she made had a jacket, and pants.]
And that I could have brought my keyblades and the shoes,
And just not had the shirt.
I was so miffed.
So, I went around, wearing the pants, and with the Roxas-styled hair,
And we mingled with the people. xD
I got to play DDR in the gamer room,
And bought a few things in the shop area.
The entire weekend had us running around like chickens without heads. xD
On the second night there, there was a big "rave" House Party.
I went in, and left immediately afterward.
It just wasn't for me.
I sat there for the longest time, just playing with these glowsticks I had gotten from this guy at the front of the rave.
Eventually, Amy came over and asked me to walk around with her.
We went over to the "Author's Alley" place, which was down the hall from the rave.
She started looking over the buttons, and I just stood there, kinda feeling a tad lonely.
See, there were a few couples we had made friends with, and they were usually always with each other.
It was really sweet,
But it made me remember what I don't have.
And...What I haven't had in a long time.
Sorta faking smiles, we looked over the buttons they were selling, when I caught sight of this guy.
He was six feet tall, and wearing White Tripp pants, one pink sock going all the way up his leg, a Hello Kitty hanging from his belt, and glowsticks galore.
Our eyes met for a second or two, and I smiled.
He smiled back, and I kinda looked away, back to Amy when I realized he was starting to move towards us.
I must have been beet-red.
Next thing I know, he walks past us, stops, faces us, and points to me, and starts to ask me if I'm some character from an anime I didn't recognize.
I shooked my head, and laughed a little, before he realized I was Roxas.
[Apparently, the give away was my Keyblade necklace I had bought earlier that day, because he pointed to it, and mentioned it.]
Next thing I knew, Amy and him were talking, and she was like "omg. I make friends with everyone." And we all laughed.
He eventually walked away.
I spent the entire night sitting there, looking for him. Every now and again, he would walk past, and our eyes would meet, causing my heart to skip a beat. >w<
It was ...Kinda amazing.
At one point, he was walking past, when I held up my last glow stick, and asked him "Need another?"
To which he responded "Yes, I do." With a smile.
Around 2 in the morning, the rave ended, and everyone sorta dispersed to their seperate rooms.
Thing was, this famous voice actor guy had been DJ-ing for the Rave, and we needed his signature on a book we had for our friend Sierra.
So, we waited up.
And apparently, so did that guy.
He came over after a while, and we talked some more, before we finally introduced ourselves. xD
His name was David.
Never did get his email, myspace, or even last name, though.
And I didn't get to see him today, which was the last day of Mechacon.
I hope he goes next year.
