Mood: Confused as hell... gonk Music: This song that has all the DDR 3 songs... its and hour + long. O_O'
Well, this is different, the journal I mean, however it is among lots of other things... First and foremost, I've moved! Yes, from one location to another, and boy what a location I landed in. From New York to North Carolina. Its was a terrifying experience getting here though, so get comfortable (yes, all three of you) this is gonna be one tall tale.
Well, the plan was LEAVE ON THURSDAY AT 11 AM. Keep that in mind. We were loading stuff into the truck that didnt fit in the POD (its a storage unit thing... ) We were behind on that to begin with, so we were still packing stuff until the guy moving into our house came up to the driveway with his truck. Looking to unpack. A minor pre-dicament. We told him to come back at 11:30, when we'd be long and gone. OR SO WE THOUGHT. (*cue dramatic music here*)
My family and I (the aforementioned 'We' 's), however, could not leave our house until we had their moolah, which we didn't because wiring money takes ********. We couldn't even pick up the checks that were made out beforehand to us because the receptionist didn't have our names on her guest list. LONG story short, we finally got the OK to get the checks. When I say 'get the checks' I mean get them, as in getting up and picking them up. It was 1 o clock as is, and we had to go an hour out of our way to pick them up. We got on the road somewhere around three, where it proceeded to rain heavily. Next chapter THE JERSEY TURNPIKE!!!
Holy hell, what deviant, malevolent force created that road? stressed Its, for the most part, a straight road, crammed to the gills with cars. So howmany things went wrong? Plenty. First, my mother and I, who were forced to travel together in the same car, got separated from my dad, who was driving our truck. Understand this, my mom can't navigate for s**t and my dad can't pull over anywhere and we were cut off from him my three cars, an emergency vehicle and a bus. Lots of colorful vocabulary was exchanged during that time. Next, it begins to rain harder. We cant see my dads truck, but we can see his tailights! biggrin To make matters worse, the 18-wheelers on either side of us splash water into our windshield, obscuring all view. If my life had flashed before my eyes then, which I'm sure it did, then hell, I need to do more with my life. It lasted all of like 2 seconds. XD
One of my cats, traveling in the backseat in a cage, peed herself, so it kinda smelled. And we did what we should have accomplished in three hours in 6. Six grueling ******** aggrivating excruciating-ARRAGH! hours. Thankfully it stoped raining... but by then we went to a Holiday Inn. >_< The next day we set out.... ar four AM. well, thankfully it was sunny and fairweathered and we made it to our new house. The light at the end of the tunnel. Everythings moved in now. There's still and echo in the dining room and I cant wait until I can invite my NY friends over.
Awesome, 43 minutes it took me to write this and its up to the re-vamped version of Xanadu. Awwwwwesome...
I'll have more to rant about tomorrow after I have had, gasp, ONE COMPLETE DAY AT THE NEW SCHOOL!
