I finished working Friday. Yaaaayz. It was actually pretty fun. Very fun infact. Fer two weeks I worked from 8:00 a.m. to ~2:00 (on three or four days I stayed til 4:00) teaching kids about art and how to paint pottery in different styles. It was pretty cool. I did it last year aswell, but this time I'm getting paid.
:'D Awwww look I'm all grown up. :'D
Ha ha! XD But the kids were great. One day I wasn't feeling well (I felt dizzy and collapsed any time I wasn't laying down) but I got up and went to work at ten and litterly flew through the door and all the kids looked up and say my recover from my trip like a total dork and one of them grabs my hand and sits me down on the couch telling me not to get up. Then all the kids checked on me and made sure I was alright. It was pretty sweet. heart
The kids were really playful too. I carried one on my shoulders and back and one group of kids listened to my music and ENJOYED IT! One of the funnest thing I did was help a one of the campers draw Elvis Presely and then paint him wild colors for pop art. He even took home the drawing we scketched, he loved it that much.
For the second week of camp a new group of campers came in and it was all based around animals. So we took all the kids to a viverium and looked at...
- Snakes
- Baby and full grown turtles
- frogs
- Dogs XD (the dogs just happened to be hanging around so what the hey, ha ha!)
- Chicks (couldn't bring myself to tell them they were gonna be feed to the reptiles)
- Kimono dragon (it was just wondering across the floor!)
- Spiders.... *shudders*
And then me a three siblings, one girl and two boys, all talked and since then they we glued to my side. I didn't mind though since they were a good, funny group. One day they all just crowded around my ear and told me I was their favorite consular. heart And then when their mum came they were all like "Mom! That's her! Remember? We were telling you about her yesterday?!" and then I shook her hand and she said, "The kids really love you, they talk about you a lot." And I was so happy. That was the most amazing expirience even.
The 2nd to last day of camp I worked my hardest. I helped kids make...
- Horses
- Cats
- Pandas
Then I had to help them all make mosaics and I had to glue them all down, which took FOREVER. Two days actually. Some of the kids did it themselves though.
But it was all worth it in the end. Great fun.
