Facebook wanabe?
Is Gaia turning into some kind of facebook? I sure hope not. I remember not so long ago, facebook was manageable. There was a limited number of features possible, and you didn't have a million pop ups every five minutes asking you to upload this quiz or that video. Gaia is fun because there is just enough to do on the site without it being overwhelming. When I log on, I don't feel like I am being asked to contribute hours upon hours of my time if I don't want to. It should stay that way.

The IM feature is one thing but adding too many more features will just make the site too demanding. Some of us have jobs to work at during the day, and people to see and spend time with during the weekend. If Gaia becomes too needy, I'm afraid I will have to break up with Gaia. That's just the way things are.

Soon we'll have the new online role playing game, and that will take up enough time as it is. I still spend hours in the marketplace, trying to score that illusive item I have been dreaming about over the last month... do I really need a million needy features, like the upcoming fish tank, to make Gaia impossible to keep up with?

I don't know about the other members, but I really like being able to save and make enough gold every month to just buy the one envelope for the month's new items and I have enough trouble doing that as it is. The evolving items are making things more complex as it is... how much more gold will I have to make to feed the silly fish?

Ok, that's all I had to say.
