The creatures moved slowly towards the small crowd,bleeding and convulsing as they reached out their cracked and bloody arms. "what the ******** are those!?" Ric exclaimed as he continuously looked for a way out. "They sure as hell ain't like the others!" Kain said as he rushed at a less crowded area of the things. "w-what the- Kain!" Azrei yelled as he rushed to help. seconds later the whole group pushed through the crowd of creatures. "the elevator should still function." Megami stated to the group. "should?" questioned Kyo. "what the hell do you mean by should!?" Niras demanded an explanation. "we took a gamble going in to the elevator...it could have crashed when we were coming down." Megami explained.
"oh god, why the hell didn't you tell us!?" Marcus complained as they group arrived at the elevator."calm down,everyone. all we need to do is steer clear of them until they go away." Azrei said to the group as they tried to think of a new way to escape. "escape will be impossible, as things are right now." a little girl in a tattered dress spoke as she slowly walked out of a small shed. "who are you?" Azrei asked her. "my name is Milenia, but everyone used to call me Milly. the bad things are looking for you. the boss came from the lower levels when you killed the Flame Mourner." she continued. "you mean there's another one of those big things?" Lilia asked as everyone became even more uneasy. "you know what these things are?" Azrei continued to question Milly.
"yes, because i was the one the mad people used to release them..." Milly said as she stepped back afraid they might do something to her. "y-you're the one that caused this!?" Niras exclaimed as she raised her hand to smack her.Azrei grabbed Niras' arm before she could do anything. "if you hurt her you''ll ruin the only chance of survival." Azrei said in an angry voice as he pushed Niras away from Milly. "can we stop these thing?" Azrei said kneeling down in front of Milly. "The Haunted will go away for a while if you kill The Brimstone Mourner." Milly explained to Azrei. suddenly the ground started to shake as a load moan began to get closer to the group. "it's here." Megami stated as everyone looked around for where it was coming from.
"how come the things are here but no humming or singing is happening?" Verial asked. "the mad people recorded my voice when they found out it was the key to make them active. you can't hear it, but they're playing the music." Milly replied right before The Brimstone Mourner crashed through the houses surrounding the group. "holy s**t!" yelled Ric as he fell backwards. The Brimstone Mourner carried two axes with it and had horns protruding from it's head. "how the hell do we kill that thing!?" Niras yelled at Milly. "y-you can kill it by stabbing its heart..." she replied. The Brimstone Mourner moaned and slowly made it's way to the nearest member of the group which happened to be Ric. "someone give me a shovel!" Ric demanded as he barely dodged one of the axes.
"here!" Lilia said as she tossed Ric her shovel. "Azrei, Milly, Kyo, and Megami: go into the shed and look for tools we can use against it!" Verial ordered. "Me, and the others will stall him until then. he continued as he and the others went to help Ric.
"we should gather things like shovels, axes and saws." Kyo stated as the group ran into the shed. "this isn't a normal shed is it?" Megami said to the group. "why do you say that?" Azrei asked. as he asked that, the group looked at Megami point to some guns on a shelf. "this was one of the mad peoples sheds, the always told us to keep away from it." Milly explained. "well, it looks like we can use these instead." Kyo said as he loaded a rifle.
"********." Kain said as The Brimstone Mourner threw him at a metal fence. "take this!" Saika yelled as she struck at the creatures chest. The Brimstone Mourner seemed to take no effect and swatted Saika away. suddenly bullets tore through the air and blast off pieces of the Brimstone Mourner. "we're back!" yelled Azrei as they rest of the group returned from the shed. The Mourner seemed to get angry and began to slam his axes into the ground as he stomped around trying to hit anyone. "stop him before he does any more damage to the ground!" Milly said as she tugged on Kyo's and Azrei's vest. "why? is something wrong?" Kyo asked as he toke aim at the behemoth. "the pillars that keep the ground up are weak in this spot. i know cuz' i almost fell through once!" she replied.
suddenly the ground started to slowly sink. Kain suddenly loses his balance and falls right in front of The Brimstone Mourner. everyone watched in horror as the creature brought down it's ax and witnessed Kain's body split apart at the waist. "Kain!" Niras yelled as she rushed at The Brimstone Mourner. The Mourner saw Niras and threw it's ax straight into Niras' chest. As she fell to the ground she grabbed Kain's hand. "I'm...sorry...K-" she said as she slowly closed her eyes.
"Niras! Kain! you killed them you b*****d!" Ric screamed as he threw Lilia's shovel into The Mourners heart. The Brimstone Mourner started to crumble, but it made a final slam on the ground making the group fall into the lower levels. When he regained consciousnesses, Azrei found himself next to Milly, Lilia and Verial. "w-where are the others?" he asked as he woke up his friends. "I-I don't know. i felt us crashing though a level or two right be for i fell unconscious...i'm surprised we're alive" Verial replied. "was the support really that weak? I guess it was seeing as the fire did more damage to the lower levels..."Azrei reasoned with himself as he helped Milly stand up. "what ever the case may be, we need to end this...we need to end this quickly." he announced to the group as they made their way through the darkness.
