How much affection would it take,
To crush me until my bones all break?
For you to drain me, I would give,
All my life so you could live.
Stalk me softly, pad along
Hear me voice a low, sweet song
Calling for the sweet embrace,
Of carnal bliss none could erase.
But though your presence frightens me,
And sometimes makes me wish to flee,
I would not trade for anything,
This crimson kiss, this flighty thing.
So hear me closely, come quite near,
My darkest angel, hearken here
Take my life, I'm not afraid
For in your arms I shall never fade.
