Perks && Quirks
Checking out this entry probably means one of two things, either for some reason you were randomly browsing my journal [though I have no idea why anyone would do that] or you found the link on roleplaying sample page. This entry consists of my perks and quirks, in other words here's a list of my good roleplaying attributes and my bad ones.
If you have a question about something that I haven't covered below, feel free to either leave me a comment or send me a pm about your inquiry.

+ [ Generally Nice ]
        Like it says, I believe I'm a generally nice person. I love to give compliments and help out. I've never been one to fight against anyone. I've never been mean to a fellow roleplayer, as long as they've given me respect in return. I try to include everyone while roleplaying, if it's possible. Ultimately, I see myself a generally nice, the only time I'm not is when someone does something to me or my friends that I find unforgivable, like with plagiarizing my posts and the decorations I make

+ [ Elastic Length ]
        Once someone referred to the length of their posts as elastic, and I thought that was a pretty cool word, and that it worked for me too. At the moment were you to scan through my posts, you'd see that most of them are only about four paragraphs, but that's not to say that's how much I would usually type. I think that the length of my posts depends on the length of those I'm roleplaying with. This is probably the reason I'm skeptical if I'm considered Literate or Advance Literate, because I notice I tend to write shorter posts [because the other's type fairly short], and I'm afraid I won't be able to match the Adv. Lit. But anyways! I tend to ingest posts that need me to reply to and regurgitate something close to equal length

+ [ Never Settle for Writer's Block ]
        It's true. I hate the excuse I have writer's block, I never use it. I refuse to use it! Instead, I'll probably admit to who I'm roleplaying with that I'm feeling uninspired, and I'll wait until I have something good to type. I would rather wait a few days and post a good reply, and type a crappy reply this minutes. It's something that I will probably always believe in and I hope that other's will adopt it as well. The same can be said for rushing, I'll never rush thought a post if I happen to be leaving my computer, instead I'll save it and work on it again when I return. I like to encourage other's to do the same here too.

+ [ Computer Time ]
        As long as I'm home, I usually get on my computer, the Internet, and Gaia at least once a day. However, I can't always promise I'm going to be at home everyday. Or even if I am home, I'll have all the time in the world to be on Gaia. The thing is, now that I'm old and living with my best friend, a trip to Wal*Mart, the mall, the movies, or another friend's house might pop up and consume the whole day. There there are other days were I'm online all day long. It happens. Not to mention, I also have my very own lappy-top now, so, unlike before, there will never come a time where I need to share. Yay! The thing however, is when I'm not holed up in my room, my laptop isn't plugged into a power source, it's just running off it's battery, therefore, after three hours, my laptop dies, and needs to be recharged.

+ [ Pretty Posts ]
        When in character, I will always have some for of a 'pretty post', they might not be as great as others, but I still will have something that'll stop my post from being a block of just black text. I will always include a picture, my character's name and a color that they always speak in, usually I'll also have avatars//icons, quotes and//or lyrics.

- [ Reading Speed ]
        I won't lie, I'm a very slow reader. These means it might take me a while before I actually have to work on a reply. If I happen to be gone for a length of time that means I've missed multiple pages, I'll actually ask what has happened since blahblahblah, because if the thread moves fast enough, I'm afraid that by the time I 'catch up' to where I popped up the one day, I'd have more pages to read. However, this isn't the same as I don't like to read. I love to read, it just takes me forever.

- [ Spelling&&Grammar ]
        I'm a pretty bad speller, but I do have a spell check add-on for Firefox that should hopefully catch most of those, except when I pull something silly like typing shoes instead of school. However, there is no grammar check. My grades involving grammar haven't improved in... ever. I can't seem to stay in the same tense throughout a whole post. It's just something I can't do, it's not my forte. I'll try my best to if what I can, but I refuse to make any promises that I'll ever have a perfect post when grammar is counted.

- [ Mind Speed ]
        My mind is faster than my fingers, I'm sure it's like this for most of us. However, this is very bad for me, especially when typing. While typing a reply I could be writing one line, and thinking about what to type for the next one, this might cause me to forget words, add words, or merge two sentences together making no sense. This mixed with my bad grammar is a nightmare, however I usually read though my posts and fix them, I'll even fix them long after they've been replied to.

- [ Attention Span ]
        Although there are times that I'm on a page, refreshing every two minutes to see if there has been a reply, I can't always promise I will be. There are a few things that easily capture my attention. Jeopardy is one of them. I'll usually turn it on, and block out everything around me until it is over. The same can be said when I get a chance to talk to someone over MSN or the phone, as soon as I get a chance to talk to him, I drop everything and give him my undivided attention

- [ Age ]
        I'll admit it, I graduated from high school in 'o9, I'm old to most people. I know this. This is both a good thing, and a bad thing. So far, I have nothing to do all day, while most are at school, this gives me plenty of time to work on responses to roleplays that most others don't have. However, this means, that some time in the near future I'll hope on getting a job I can promise that it won't be an all day every day thing, but I can't promise when my hours will be. Also, at my age, I'll be going to college in the not-so-distant future, but that will be a bridge I cross when I get there.

- [ Offensive ]
        Although I try my best to be nice, there are times I might say [type] something that could be offensive. There are very few things that offend me, [the only one I can think of is when someone said that all my drawings were traced] so I don't know what topics to lightly tread around, well, save for things like religion and politics, which are things I don't care to talk about much - unless it's like Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Chinese or Japanese Religions. I'm known to kid around a lot with death, suicide [ Only a few minutes ago I was listening to a song called "If You Don't Love Me I'll Kill Myself", which I thought was hilarious], mental illnesses, sexuality, and I'm sure there are more. So bottom line is, if I offend you, don't get mad at me, please. Just say "Hey, I'd appreciated it if you didn't talk about blahblah" and I'll stop.
