never had wings
a story poem
Your eyes stitched shut, she flashed a smiles
She walks alone, she walks for miles
And in this world around her, she wishes she could disappear
When she talks she knows you will never hear
Now things are coming clear and you say you don’t need her here
She sheds her one last life feeled tears
As she walks away the foot steps get louder
Her pretty wings, they turn to powder
With crooked wings she try’s to fly
Away from you and all your lies
She’s sick of you and sick of me
Wishing she was meant to be
Doesn’t care anymore She does what she can to get some more
She withers away till there’s nothing there
Knowing that you will never care
She’s getting wild, it’s hard to bare
She takes a blade and makes a tare
It’s not that deep but blood still seeps
Trying not to make a peep
There are no tears, there’s nothing left
She knows there is just one last step,
To end it here to end it now,
Like the end of a play she takes her bow
She makes one last effort but you’re not there,
She smiles briefly and makes a tare
