My heart is now racing
Thruming like a drum
The words are there
But I've become dumb
I can feel their warmth
Right next to my side
But I can't look over!
Even though I've tried!
I'm a nervous wreck!
My thoughts are blurred
Eyes are cast down
Not speaking a word
With a tap on my shoulder
My gaze turns to see
But my face is so close
I can feel him breathe!
It was quick but gentle
And when his eyes stare at me
He says, "Now that wasn't so bad,
Wouldn't you agree?"
