Teacher: As of today, you'll hae a new classmate. She's had trouble in the past, so please be nice to her. If you'll be so kind as to introduce yourself."

???: Hi, my name is Iris Miyuki. I recently moved to Gale Village with my parents. I come from Cinder Town, which is a long way from here. I'm also training to be a ninja."

Teacher: Now, before we resume testing, we need to make sure our new classmate is prepared in some sort of combat. Any volunteers?" Everyone seemed to shudder at the thought, having heard the rumors.

Alex: I will."

Teacher: Thank you. You've shown a great deal of courage towards your fellow classmate. Now, if you'll take your stances in the arena?" Alex and Iris enter the arena. Alex draws his sword, but Iris has no weapon.

Alex: Don't you have a weapon of some kind?"

Iris: I don't need one."

Alex: Then I don't need one either." He drives his sword into the ground.

Teacher: sweatdrop That is unadvised of you Alex."

Alex: Relax. She's a student, like everyone else." Having unarmed himself, the teacher was growing nervous, ignorant of the fact she was immune to the evil clutches of the plant.

Teacher: Very well, then. COMMENCE!" Iris, as a ninja-in-training knew several skills, which she was prepared to test out. Iris began breathing fire at Alex, who simply stood there, and put his hand out. As a fire element, he was unaffected by such attacks. He decided to dart in with a Flare Punch in an attempt to fight fire with fire. Upon contact, the whole class gasped, seeing the plant grow out in defense, and be capable of blocking a fire skill.

Alex: Wow. To be able to use an element weak against my attack to defend. You must be a master of plant ninjutsu. smile " She seemed to know what he was doing. He knew her secret, and he was hiding the obvious from the class. In a change of tone, they began cheering her on.

Teacher: Ok, that's enough practice for today. Please take your seats." Iris sat near Alex and Kevin, and she whispered something in Alex's ear.

Iris: Thank you."

Alex: Don't worry about it. You deserve fair treatment." Class continued as usual, but the testing was to be held tomorrow, due to Iris being added into the sheet. After class, Alex and Kevin waited for their parents to pick them up. However, they were joined by one more, Iris.

Iris: So, how did you know?"

Kevin: We overheard something out here."

Iris: You knew too?"

Kevin: Yeah. I figured I'd let Alex test your abilities though. See if I can learn to counter some of his techniques. xd "

Alex: That's the reason you let me?!" They all began giggling to that. The pair of friends had become a small group.
