The men stood awed at the sight before them. After fighting their way through the catacombs of the Gynt capital Ship, making their way all the way to the bridge, they had finally met up with the kidnapped Senator, and what do you know, it's the youngest and prettiest member of the Senate. Ravek held out his hand to the Senator, she took it and he helped her out of her former cell. As soon as she was out however, he immediately let go as though she carried some infectious plague. Senator Aril stood frozen to the spot with the same look of shock that was on her face when Ravek released her from her cell. Soon though the look faded from her face and it was replaced with a sort of half smile. Gale was amazed at how much this look on her face matched the expression on Ravek's face when he had been amused by the way Gale had come to attention back on the Romefeller when they had first met. Ravek began to move out of the, however he stopped when he noticed that Gale was being supported by Terion just in order to stand. His expression had changed from battle-hardened to concern in almost an instant. "Gale, what happened? Are you all right?" It was then that Gale remembered the pain in his chest. He winced then grabbed his stomach with his hand, "It's nothing sir. Just a flesh wound." He winced again, this was his first time talking since he had been hit, and it hurt. Ravek noticed this and became even more concerned, he turned towards two privates behind him, "You two keep Sergeant Gale and Private Terion covered as we head back to the SLT, understand?" "Yes Sir." The two privates said this in almost perfect synch with each other. Then, there was a blast shot heard from the corner. Everyone jumped, even Ravek, who in no time had pulled out the hilt if his saber and had come a fraction of a second away from turning it on when he realized what had made the shot. The Gynt officer that the Private in the corner of the Bridge had captured had shot himself with what was obviously a hidden blaster. Ravek walked over to the body, knelt in front of it then took off its rank badge. Ravek looked at it closely, and then a look of shock spread across his face. He turned to the rest of his men, "This was Admiral Kogora, of the 7th Fleet of the Gynt Space Forces." Everything went silent for several minutes. In the shock of this development, everyone forgot everything around them. No one knew that there was a battle going on outside. No one knew that Lt. Allion's troops were under heavy fire from Gynt Marine Units. No one knew, until a crackle on the radio said, "Under heavy fire, need assistance, HELP." Suddenly everyone snapped back to their senses and realized what was going on. Ravek began issuing orders to the men for the return trip. "You two will guard the left flank! You two, the right! Sergeant Gale and Private Terion will stay in the center with you two giving them cover! The rest of you, protect the rear." "Sir what about the front?" Ravek gave his usual weak half smile, "Leave that to me." "And where will I be in all this." Gale looked over at who said this, it was the Senator. Gale had completely forgotten that she was there. Gale was most surprised at her voice. It had a sternness about it, basically meaning that she was no novice about ordering people around. However there was also a hint of sweetness and kindness too. Gale thought he may have been crazy for thinking this, but she sounded a lot like Ravek. Ravek simply gave that weak half smile of his and said, "You'll be with Gale and Terion in the center." She opened her mouth as though she was going to say something, but she thought better and shut it again so that no one noticed. She moved towards the center of the group next to Gale. When she reached Gale's side she took his arm and put it over her shoulder to help Terion support Gale. Ravek saw this then nodded, and then turned towards the hallway leading out of the bridge. Gale looked over at Senator Aril; he was surprised to see that she looked more sad than glad to be out of here. She also looked as though she were bursting to say something, but what, Gale couldnt tell. The men had finally fallen into formation when Ravek began to give the orders, "Alright men, let's move!" "Ravek will you at least look at me." Gale jumped; he looked over at the Senator, who had nearly yelled this at Ravek. Ravek didn't show any sign of noticing this comment, except that his next order was said in a bit more irritated voice than before. "Let's move out." The men now began filing out of the Bridge into the Corridors. Gale looked over at the Senator, "Excuse my abruptness Senator, but do you know Colonel Ravek?" Gale could tell that his question had attracted the attention of several of the other soldiers. The Senator just looked at Gale, then she put on that same half smile that Ravek always uses, "Yes actually, he's my brother."
