Ok i'm writing in dark red today because i'm a bit pissed off. Here's my problem, on May 6th(Wed of this week) it was my mothers birthday. She really likes chocolates and sweets, so I thought about getting her some dark chocolate covered almonds. My sister told me that she(my mom) was trying to keep her weight down, so I went to the sweet shop in the mall of my town, and got some sugar free chocolate almonds. The nice lady even wrapped it for me. wink

So my mother goes to open her gift, and her words go like this.... "Dark chocolate almonds! Alright Pat(my name). sugar free....... talk2hand me: sad And i'm fine with that, my mom usually doesnt like the birthday or X-mas gifts I get her. She usually doesnt use them, pretends to use them for two days then forgets about it, or gets rid of it when i'm not around.....

Now your probably thinking, whats this got to do with mothers day? Here's were it gets tricky........ mad

Ok so I was used to my moms responses, and I took it well. Then the day after(May 7) my mother walks up to me and says: "Pat I need to talk to you about something" She pulls my aside and then says something that makes me want to punch a baby. evil "Pat don't you think for your moms 50th BD you would get her something more unique than chocolate? Like something a bit more expensive?" I then explain to her that I don't have a job, sweatdrop crying and cant get really nice expensive things, and its the thought that should count. She then YELLS at me about how shes 50 and HOW WOULD I FEEL if she diddnt get me something for my B-day? Even though I DID get her something!!!!

So now we jump to today(May 10 Mothers Day) and I walk out into the kitchen were my mom is sitting at the table(Its literally right next to the kitchen) and the first thing she tells me at 8:04 AM is, "SO, what did you get me for mothers day???" I honestly got her nothing because I was mad about her BD gift reaction. And then she yelled at me saying "I'M YOUR MOTHER YOU ONLY GET ONE BLAH BLAH BLAH PMS!" scream Then she asked me to call my grandmother and tell her happy mothers day. Again, I wasnt in a "Happy Lucky" mood, and said I wasent going to talk to her.

I feel bad for not calling my grandma just to spite my mother, but other than that, should I not be mad??? I don't see why not! Please share comments below.
