The Truth of Shadows is revealed!!!!!!!
" you light beings think you know the truth of light and dark. that it's so simple. one is good, the other bad. it is far deeper than that. i'll tell you the true nature of darkness, and my story as well.
you all know the stories. darkness threatens hyrule, hero wields the blade of evil's bane, hyrule is saved and so on. the rule of that blade, the master sword, is that he who holds evil in his heart can't touch it. but no living thing si, 100% angelic. everything has a darkside, a Shadow. but you're hero is pretty damn close to 100% clean. but i;m his inner evil. so when he touches that blade, he has to match me in combat, to purge his heart of the slightest hint of evil. to maintain me, rather. if i defeat Link instead, then darkness will own this land...under rule of Ganon....
anyways, that's why i'm the hero of shadows, but to this day, i've never won a single battle against Link.
now before you try to kill me now, listen a bit more.
the Hero, is re-born, Reincarnated, when he is needed in this world. his memory lost in the process, to keep him innocent, pure. i am immortal, to a point really. instead of death, i sleep till the hero is born, and i am brought out by nature. i keep my memories, to keep me resentful and evil. it's the working s of fate, i am the dog to this cycle. "
he said this all ina calm but burnign tone. the villagers were shocked and looked ready to destroy him. he broke into a small coughing fit.
" he's after Link!" "kill him!!!" they shouted.
" so eager to kill...you'll never know the truth of everything..." he muttered disgusted.
"then go on." said the mayor.
he continued,
"the start of evil....you don't know a thing about that. i can tell you everything. at first, there was 1 world, not 2. and shadows and light beings existed together. i even...." he paused remembering this long forgotten memory." i even fought ALONGSIDE link, the very first one. this was before the true colors of cosmic intentions shone. but then there was this twisted scenario. in which a shadow committed murder.
this sparked fear of shadows, as they had always been sorta, on the fringe to begin with. no one hated them just yet, but they were wary of them. and everyone began to believe all shadows were like that.
lights and shadows murdered each other. some even combined with their shadows. during this chaos,....i....we picked sides. i fought against light along my shadows in the name of the wrongly accused. the goddesses, to end the fighting, banished shadows to a realm of darkness and pain.
our world is meant to be broken, while yours prospers. but without us, what would make you good? if we weren't there to make it appear you are doing the right things?"
the crowd was stunned by such a vitriolic exclamation. the mayor sighed, " so it's all...reaction to ...oppression. you have every right to be angry. it's just, and unjust system...you can't help being a shadow, but you get punished for it anyways." the rest of them caught on. " yes"
the truth of his past, and his future had been revealed. he tried to stand and lean his back on the stone. .
End Chapter 4!!!!!!!!! well, i just decided to split it again. and just make it chapter 5. i told you it was long.
