and prayed for the day

so the time went by
seeing you each day
without even a 'hi',
it tore me apart
until i couldnt bear it

just hoping you'd listen
but you loved her
and i was just no match
defeat drove me away,
but i still would pray
that someday youd be mine

so, its nowhere near finished.
