and faced her. “No, I have not thought about what you told me. Now, if you were to be so kind and ******** off.”
She laughed at me. “I forgot to tell you something before I left you to your, uhm, retreat.” Queer, I thought that she told me what she wanted to. “You will become a little less human and a lot more bitter and cold.” With that, she flew away. More nonsense. Like I knew what she was talking about.
That night, I lay in an apartment bed. For the first time in so long, I was finally in a bed. I was a little hasty to get such a high apartment, but it didn’t bother me. What the angel said was bothering me. I pondered what she meant. “Stupid angel and her ******** riddles.” I feel asleep.
I awoke in the middle of the night. There was someone knocking on my apartment door. “I’m coming. I’m coming. Hold your damn horses.” The knocking just kept getting louder and louder. A demon in a human disguise. “O great, the hallucinations are coming back.”
He just stared at me. For once in my life, I had the sensation that I was going to die. Something strong came over me. I couldn’t move. My legs didn’t want to move. I looked down and started punching my legs, hoping that this would get them to move. No use. The demon grabbed me by the throat and walked by my window. “Damn angel. I wish she would have to me about this.” That my final gasp of air, that was all I could say. In the next moment, I was thrown outside the window. I felt as if I were flying for a moment. I looked up; reaching for the sky, hoping someone’s hands would grab mine. No use. I stared at the moon, as it got further and further away from me.
