Okay, so I said you'd get two reviews... Not much that I can say about this one... It has a trying-to-be-touching beginning. The story is... well... you pretty much get the whole plot from the beginning of the movie if you've seen the commercials for this thing. I have one comment that I KNOW is on a lot of people's minds. How in hell is the old man's back so strong?! The guy WALKS his house! [Hint at the hose and rope you see in the commercial tied to him and the kid.] Yes, I know that the house is floating by balloons. The question baffles me because of every OTHER thing in the movie. OH! I also wanna make a little nitpick at something from the minute before the house takes off. I know, I know, spoilers. I don't care. I've met those people. Specifically the "nuthouse" and retirement village ones. Very few of them are such assholes. They're. Just. Stressed. You would be too if you were around old people set in their ways and completely brain-dead wackos. And why would they even BE there if they didn't like it?! Sheesh... Yes, I put masks on just like them, but it's not conditional. They're either on to keep EVERYONE from worrying or they're not on at all! Oy... THEY are two-faced dickweeds....
Anywhoo... everyone remember the bird?... Any of you remember hearing something about a Snipe? How it's smart, has lotsa colors, and is really tall? ... Yeah. Oh! And dogs aren't that stupid, either. The second biggest baddie in the movie... xp Pitiful defeat, I swear.
Well... It's a movie and i've done my nit-picking... You can guess that the rest is... at least a decent by my standards. You won't really be crying or gasping... You'd maybe laugh at a few bits but otherwise the little kids in the audience will have about a third of your attention while the second third is somewhere else and the remaining bit is on how "quaint" the movie itself is... Not worth the money unless you like hearing kids say VERY surprising stuff around you.
