Misty shut her eyes, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Suddenly, she felt like she couldn't take all of it anymore, the pressure, the death, the feeling of dread that covered the air everytime she thought of what she was supposed to go. It all didnt make sense to her, she was confused, and really angry, so that's why she couldn't help spitting out, "You're sick." She looked around at everyone, at the frightened passengers: the crying children, pressed to their mother's bossoms, the older adults looking like they'd faint, and she looked at the boys, the ones who started out robbing a bank, and who were know gun-weilding foes , ones who would, without a doubt, do anything Death told them to do. She looked at each and every one of them, to the frightened boys who only a momet ago looked like they were on top of the world, but now looked like they just fell into a pit of utter dispair, to the ones who looked like they were ready to revolt, but too scared to do so. Then, finally, her gaze rested on Death, who was looking at her as if seeing her for the first time, a confused look swept across his handsome features. He tilted his head, " What's on your mind?" his voice came out in a curious rasp, as if he hadn't talked in forever. Misty just shrugged meekly, trying to look nonchalant, but inside her mind was racing, thinking of possibilities, but coming to deadends, but then each idea branched off into so many parts that her mind got jumbled up. After a moment she couldn't take all the eyes on her, so she sat down swiftly into a seat, covering her face with her hands. Death spoke almost the instant that her face was covered, "Now, now, Misty. Don't break down on me now. We're just having fun," he pulled a cell phone from his pocket, pushed a number on speed dial, and spoke the instant someone answered, " Yeah,Boss," he said, " Yes this is Henry. I know it doesn't sound like me, i got a cold, anways, we're at the destination. Yep, we've got passengers. THe others will be set free. Alright, see you," he shut the phone and shoved it in his pocket, looking at Misty, " My moves not done, yet," and he snapped his fingers and suddenly the bus lurched to a stop. Misty stared out the window to see that they were no longer traveling the dusty roads in the desert, they'd somehow found their way to a brightly lit city. Misty squinted ," Are....are we in Vegas??!! " Mikey looked out , also, "How'd we get here?" Death waved a hand in the air, " One of my many unike powers. The Boss wanted us to be here." Misty shook her head, " But how does he expect us to end up here? We were a long ways away from Vegas," she paused, her eyes lighting up ," Wait a minute, there is no Boss, is there? you made him up, didn't you, to, to make this whole challenge fit together?" She looked at Death to confirm her suspicions. He only shrugged, not giving away anything, "Think what you want, but for right now," he reached over and grabbed her arm, " we need some hostages," he looked at the two boys who remained nameless to Misty, '' Brad, Tommy, you two grab a passenger each," then he looked at Mikey and Nick," You two stay on the bus for right now, make sure they-," he nodded at the remaining passengers, '' - behave. " Mikey and Nick nodded, while Brad grabbed a young chinese woman from the front, and Tommy just basically grabbed whoever was closer to him, which was a fifty year old , frail looking man, "You sure ya wanna pick that one? He could have a heart attack," Brad said nervously. Misty could tell he didn't want anyone else to die, probably because the kid was afraid of going to jail for a long, long time. Death put his hand to her shoulder and guided her out the door, down the steps, and onto the birghtly lit streets. The lights hurt her eyes, and for a second she was afraid of going blind. But only for a moment. her eyes adjusted quickly and Death pushed her through an alleyway, and up to a dark grey, rotting door. Misty shrugged off Death's hand and began to take a step away from him, but was immediently stopped when he grabbed her neck roughly, " Oh, no," he said ," You can't get away that easily," and he knocked on the door. After a minute of two, it opened a crack and a greasy- haired, oily faced, balding man stuck his head out the door. Misty instantly gave him the title of Rat, mainly because that's what he looked like, and what he sounded like, she found out after he squeeked, " What do ya want?" Death grinned, looking into Rat's eyes, and said in a most formal tone, '' Butterball."
Misty looked at Death with growing curiousity " Butterball?" Death held up a finger, the normal shhhhh sign. Rat plucked the chain off the lock and held the door open ," Nice ta see a friend of the Bosses," he said, and Misty was amazed to see that he was almost bowing to Death, but not as amazed to see what the inside of the place looked like. It looked nothing like the outside, which was rat-infested and rotting and smelly. No, the inside of this place looked like a palace. With glittering white marble floors, a sweeping staircase in the middle of the bare room they now stood in. Misty knew her eyes were open in awe, but she didn't care, in fact she almost felt excited to be in a place like this, that is, until a booming voice came from the top of the stairs, '" Death, nice to see you again..." and Misty looked up to that voice and nearly fainted.
