Chapter One-Friends,and Enemies
Sitting on his couch,Jin looked over at the clock and sighed-it read a little after eleven at night.She's late,he thought to himself as he slid off the couch,his mako eyes glowing brightly in the dimness of the room.His fiancee Ave was late from work AGAIN,which was a problem since he knew the guys at the bar were probably keeping her,which meant he'd have to go and get her.Looking over at his little sister Ayumi asleep on the love seat,he buckled on his great katana SkyShroud and shook hiis head,heading for the front door.He heard her roll over on the leather of the cushions and stopped,looking back at her.Thinking he might need to leave a note for her,his right hand pulled a piece of paper and a pen over to him from a tack board next to the door,the lettering on it telling her where he'd went.Nodding,satisfied with his work,he headed out toward the Sector 5 Marketplace where the tavern where Ave worked was,waving to a few late night strollers he knew not by name but at least by face.Hands in pockets and a cigarette clenched between his teeth,his eyes went skyward to the plate that hung over all their heads like a bad omen of things to come.He wanted to get them out of the slums as soon as possible,seeing as how AVALANCHE's attacks had been getting bolder and bolder,such as the newest one on the Sector Eight Reactor.That had shocked him too much-he'd been in the area that day.
Turning a corner,he ran face first into his friend Yuki,also an ex-member of SOLDIER."OI!What're you doing down here?"he asked slowly,looking around-two members of SOLDIER talking would definetley get the police force's backs up real quick.
"Um...you,ah,should head over to the bar..."she said slowly,fiddling with the tassle hanging from her Tsuki-himes handle."There's,someone wanting to talk to you."
