12.Death

There are so many people out there that just know God, but they never truly get to know him, and maybe they don’t know how, or where to start. But they always seem to put it off. They get mixed up in the world and forget to sometimes. They think they have all the time in the world, and they just say “I’ll get around to it eventually.” Truth is we could die tomorrow, like I talked about in chapter 9. But we don’t have all the time in the world, and we need to make the best of it. Those who want to believe in God, but have no time for him should just bring God into what they’re doing. Like me, I stay busy constantly, but I just have a casual conversation with him while I’m doing things.
Death, now. So many people are afraid of it, they just kind of avoid the conversation. Yes, it’s a dark depressing thing, but it does come, and you never know when it will. We feel as if we will live forever, but we know that we will die, you know what I mean? Sometimes, maybe it would be good if people would talk about it at least once, because then it would just be out. People think about it, but it’s just a silent thing. Someday you might regret not telling someone something, or doing something, but then it’s too late, because you’re on your deathbed. But me, I try to tell people everything I want them to know, so I don’t have to worry about what I should’ve done or need to do.
See, we need to talk about it to each other, because there may be a few things you want to say, and if that person passes away suddenly, you may feel guilty that you never got to tell them. This kind of goes along with chapter 13…
