In a world of laws and legality a new form of government was formed. This new government consisted of seven equal persons, holding the seven highest positions: Head of Education, Head of International Affairs, Head of National Defense, Head of National Legislation, Head of Federal Budget, Head of Civil Upkeep, and the Chief Judge. These seven officials are assembled as a committee to balance the power and assure an impartial ruling. Within such a government, there is need for an outstanding military force. This is taken care of by the Legally Issued Military, a group of select individuals, chosen for their skills and knowledge. There are several branches of L.I.M.B., each working with the open military and the Council to increasing the level of quality produced. These duties include the Law Enforcement of Government services, serving as a government police unit, Medical Operative Units of Trained Hospital Specialization, to provide medical support in combat, along with LAM, GOST, AWE, and LOSS, which lead the military units in combat. Along with the Head Instruction Personal, to train these recruits.

This story follows two men: Derrei Ludas of Advancement of Warfare Engineering, and Leonard Alden of Lead in Assault Maneuvers. These two were placed in the Trainee Academy of International Legalities program and became friends quickly. Both of them showed amazing skill and thought throughout all of their time. With in months they were pushed into a military position in LIMB.

Several years after joining L.I.M.B., Derrei and Leonard began their first war-time training. Derrei, being a member of AWE, was assigned a large part in the creation of war based machinery. While Leo trained his skills with the other leading officers. This left them little time for anything other than the mundane practices of any other LIMB unit. They could never know what lie ahead of them nor the betrayal they would commit to remain loyal.

Knowing full well the pain creeping through his upper left leg was only growing worse Derrei forced himself awake. Same damned walls every morning. Same moss-lined, ivory walls every day!! ?Hey, maggot, get up now!?, as if I couldn?t guess by his loud raspy voice the smell told me beyond doubt, ?Maggot, are ya gonna get off your a** or am I to treat you as defiance??. ?Sir, permission to speak??, a request he realized too late as a mistake. ?Maggot, out of bed! Now! I?d better see you in 15 for training?. This is just Greeeeeat. And at this he accepted the darkness of fatigue. Anyone in the LIMB knew better than to upset Major Sniider, especially not on inspection days. Only after Leo?s frantic shouts did Derrei Ludas even think of this and then it was far too late.




The Course was a horrid little field 3.5 miles behind the LIMB bunking facilities. Surrounded on all sides by the hills of Rosair, it gave a grim aura only furthered by the downpour continuing now into its 8th hour. The wind caught the sharp, musky scent of rust, blood, and the mold forming under its supports. A dull creak wailed its sad tune to the winds and screamed of the blood it?d seen shed for such words as honor, loyalty, or devotion. Derrei knew too well of these words and their sick allure to those who hear them cried blindly in the night. He knew to well of the blood shed on this ground and of the bonds shattered for its prize.
