Martin Luthor King Jr. had a dream. A world of equality and tolerance, and of love.... his dream has yet to become a reality, for ignorance and hate are the prevailing winds of UN-change.... a sad product of closed minds.
I now have a dream to....
I dream of a world once again full of possibilities. A fantastical realm of the limitless imagination of a child, a place that can only be conceived of by an innocent youth.
A youth whose mind is unspoiled and untainted by the destructive thoughts and actions of the selfish and evil peoples of this world. Who sees no race, color or creed. No gender or bias.
I dream of a world filled with only the limitless possibilities and staggeringly imaginative thoughts of the infinite possibilities of this universe.
For far to long, we have lived in a stagnantly conscious world, ruled by the primitive assumption that we are privy to the mysteries and answers of the cosmos, based on the false knowledge we believe we have obtained.
Far too long have we believed ourselves masters of the universe, playing God at every turn, and taking for granted that with which we are blessed.
I have a dream that one day, someone with the capacity for logical reason will wake up and realize that we do not have the answers. No following, belief or sect... no religion nor science... NONE of us KNOW what is really going on around us at any given time. For if we did, surely we would have no strife or death amongst us.
I have a dream that one day, the peoples of this world will look upon how fragile they truly are, and stand up and shout, with one singular voice... "Peace, and Possibilities"
I dream of a world where once again, anything is possible, and the inhabitants of this Earth are no longer subjected to false absolutes. Where the peoples no longer fight over religion when none can know the TRUE answers , and science no longer mocks itself by claiming to have answers.... when all it has are mere theories.
At one time, the Earth was the very center of the universe. At one time, the Earth was flat. At one time, germs and viruses did not exist... only curses of the Devil.
But open mindedness overcame, and brave souls fought against their peers and their false boundaries to give us the knowledge we have today. They gave us an infinitely majestic universe of which we are only a tiny fragment, they gave us a beautifully round and traversable planet.... and they gave us the means to overcome illness and disease.
No longer though, for our minds and perspectives have become stagnant, and once again men and women of vision are called lunatic and heretic, and are shunned and silenced by their peers.
I dream of a life where my ideas do not instill laughter or fear in others, but where my ideas spark more thought and imagination. Indeed, where all ideas are welcome as true possibilities once again.
Where hatred can be consigned to the history books as a primitive concept, and where the thought of not accepting ANYTHING as a possibility is laughable.
I have a dream of a perfect world where religion and science can finally coexist, and truly know that neither is right or wrong. Where people realize that all religions are separated only by the most marginal of differences, and that to believe what you want in no way makes you different from anyone else on Earth.
Far too long have we lived under the assumption that we are unique as individuals. For truth, we are indeed special one and all, but in no way unique. We are human beings! It is time that we separate ourselves from the animal kingdom, and rise above petty hatred and arguments. We CAN look past self imposed differences to become one people, if only we try.
I have a dream that we should all be so lucky as to find ourselves in the secret worlds of a child's mind. Worlds in which superheroes exist, in which food falls from the sky, and in which everyone plays the day through without a care in the world.
Worlds in which time and reality have no place or reason, and in which innocence and love flourishes far and above any concept of strife or misery. Where one can fly unaided or race cars in a cross country battle to the finish... And don't worry, no one loses, because there are plenty of " do overs " to go around.
I dream of a happy world... the world of children... MY children's world.... and everyone is invited to come play.....
