I just love it when we get newcomers, love it love it! People are always so, well excited to join. They think they can go out and get started hunting. No way, we gotta introduce them to the will of the ways first. Usually they are impatient and break the rules on the first day. Honestly, I don't blame them. It's hard not to just want to leap up and start hunting for food. I'm the one who takes new wolves on the tour of each area that the leaders roam with their small groups. No one is really picky, I just control the whole area and make sure no one steps a toe out of line. After that it's how to wash then dinner time. Seeing the newcomer's face is so funny because they usually stare at a frog and think yick! Then it's when they take it into their mouthes and chop away at the tender flesh that they feel satisfied. Getting to sleep with a newcomer is kind of scary for really any wolf, new or old. You don't know if this one will attack you overnight(we had that) or will sleep away. Most wolves secretly wait up waiting for the new one to go to bed. I wait up all night watching to make sure the wolf has nothing up his or her sleeve. There has never really been a fight when we first get a newcomer. Well it happened once but the newcomer was immediately killed because she threatened to become human for good and kill us all. Apparently she had tons of silver items and was gonna melt them down. Yikes!
