"That...was invigorating!" Ray shouted as he trudged toward Tina's house, his costume torn and shredded from the fighting. Zapook happily trotted next to him with a piece of black cloth in her mouth. As they made their way to Tina's front door, they found Ekone sitting outside, watching the foxes run around the front of the house.


Ekone stared long and hard at Ray before speaking, "Um...You guys know you've been gone for several days, right?"

Zapook could only bark happily and drop the cloth.

"Well," Ray smiles, "We got a little caught up..."

"And the cloth in her mouth?"

"She was doing unspeaking things to vampires."

"...She is a vampire...and you're dressed as one...at least you were."

"No no. There were vampires and werewolves all around the outskirts of Barton and Bass'ken Lake. It was fun! I mean...Someone had to keep them at bay..."

Ekone tilted his head to the side before looking down at Ray's arm. Ray's skin was covered in an extremely dark green shell that glistened lightly in the sunlight. Noticing what Ekone was staring at, Ray quickly covered his arm and smiled, "Where is Tina and Zee?"

Ekone snapped out of his trance and shrugged, "Still at that big war thing. I'm not sure when they're coming back."

"A scuffle or two seems normal for Zee, but why would either of them get caught up in a full scale war?"

"Collecting the spoils. None of us have jobs ya know. Well..None of us except her," Said Ekone as he pointed down toward Zapook, who was currently sitting on the ground and scractching the side of her head with her hind foot.

"She works? As what? A scientist?"

"Gravedigger. She finds a lot of things for her experiments on the job. That's what Tina told me anyway."

Zee's booming yell came from the trees behind Zapook and Ray, "For the thrill of the fight!"
She bursts into view, donning a black and red robe, and waving what looked like a golden mace. "And for the delicious taste of victory."

Ray could only shake his head, and Ekone stared awkwardly at Zee, as Tina walked up next to her, sighing, and wearing a teal and white robe almost identical to Zee's. Zee put the mace on her shoulders and grinned as she happily marched into the house, with Zapook trotting in after her, barking. Tina just plops next to Ekone with another deep sigh.

Ekone blinked a few times, "Soooo.....B.O.O. Lost didn't they?"

"Well," Tina shrugged, "Yes, but it was a close match. We figured this wouldn't alter Gaia too much." She then stared up at Raymond and blinked, "What happened to your costume?"

He gave a bit of a half hearted glared, "I got caught up in a fight with werewolves and vampires. Your friend Zapook helped. What about your costume huh?" He grins.

"Zee's shell pack. She placed them inside of it to keep harm from falling on those outfits. We did spend a lot of time on them. ...I just wish we had spent Halloween together this year...we all seemed so scattered and distracted. Thanksgiving will be different!"

Ekone raised a finger, "I thought Zee was leaving to see her human family during Thanksgiving?"

"SHE IS WHAT!?" Tina yelled, before stomping into the house.

Ray could only sigh and shake his head.

A faint whistling sound made Ray stand straight up, his ears twitching. Ekone just looked at him cluelessly, and was about to speak before Ray quickly pushed him inside. As he closed the front door and turned around, a dark greenish orb appeared in front of him, making him audibly gulp and smile. "Um...Good evening!"

"Ah...So this is the hovel you've been slithering around in, huh?"

"Um...Yes. Ma'am, if I may interupt-"

"You may not. Do you have any idea how long it took for us to find you? Do you!?"

"I'm sorry, ma'am..."

"You damn well better be sorry! Now...I see a house in the background...is the bride to be in there?"

"Um...well..."

"Ah! So she is!! You are coming home soon then, yes?"

"Well...I wasn't planning too...."

"I'm sorry...what? Not planning to? You are joking, right?"

"Um...Look. There aren't any good girls here, ok? So there's no need for me to come back yet, and no need for you to-"

"Obviously something's there if you've stayed there long enough for us to track you down. Don't you lie to me!"

"...I can honestly say, there is no one here that I would like to bring back home..."

"Ah! In that case you found a couple of live souls to feed us with! Correct?"

"Wait! That's not what I'm sa-"

"Expect us to arrived within two weeks. We'll come with our bibs on, sweety! Ciao!"

The dark energy evaporated in front of him. All he could do is sit there and stare off into the distance before just dropping to his knees. "Not...good..."
