Memory was neglected by his family since he wasn't born with "ears" like his brother or Seung Sun.It was said that when your not born with ears,the sides of your head gets shaved off,sending a sign to everyone else that you were "different",and being different was bad. His parents forbade him to talk or even touch his brother. At school,everyone,even the teachers avoided him. So Memory decided to get their attention by being the trouble maker,upsetting his parents further. They slapped him,abused him and made him their own personal "servant".His younger brother,Lucas, tried everything to save Memory,but his attempts always ended with failure.
Then Memory met Seung Sun. Seung Sun accepted Memory and didn't really understand Memory's position,but accepted him either way. That was all that Memory asked in his life,to be accepted by someone important.
