Chapter 2: I Got Better.
Author's Note: In my opinion, Kaoru should have punched him. But I want this story to keep in tune with how each and every character reacts in TACAC. So, no punching action for Kaoru. ;3;
Disclaimer: All of these characters, save for Nicky Wright, do not belong to me. They were created and/or inspired by Capcom's Ace Attorney series and roleplayed in TACAC.
Summary: Some chaos, a whiny shota, an angry man, and lost of pink.
Nicky and Rou exchanged expressions of horror as they saw the young Klavier Gavin collapse in front of them. Klavier Gavin... There was several Klaviers in this strange complex. Klavier Gavin was a rockstar and part time prosecutor. A young, heart-throb that wowed the audience both on-stage and in court. His purple, buttoned down shirt, silver-chained G pendant, and his long blonde locks that merged to one side pointed downward in a spike that hung by his left shoulder was the signature that marked each Klavier Gavin. But this particular Klavier was seven years younger then the ones that ventured into this strange place and his golden locks were shorter then the rest, but he still wore the signature attire. It was this Klavier that was on the ground, struggling to get up.
Everything in the lobby grinded to a halt. Everyone watched and paniced at the sight. Some screamed for medical attention, others paniced and kept looking onward. But in the mist of the chaos, a young, pink nurse stepped forward. "Everyone, settle down and back off!" she yelled. Most people in the lobby walked away. Some stayed and gave her some space. But Rou and Nicky stayed just a foot away from the nurse and Klavier, just in case she needed some assitance.
The young, pink nurse quickly placed her medical bag to her side and kneeled by the young Klavier. She then quickly reached out to him to check his pulse, but Klavier swatted her hand away. "N-Nein," he shouted and shock his head. "W-what? But I need to check your pulse. You may-"
"Nein, nein. L-Leave me alone, Fr-Fraulien. I d-don't need attention." He shock his head again, clasping his hands over his head as he did so.
"Stop making things difficult and let Kaoru check your pulse," Rou growled.
"N-nein. St-stay out of this, Herr Shiryuu," Klavier retorted.
"Listen pup, you either let her help you or take a nasty fall. Do you want to live or die?" Rou's eyes were locked on him.
Klavier looked up at him and shook his head. "N-nein. I am fine, Herr Shiryuu." He dropped his hands to his side and slowly pushed himself up to a sitting position. "I am fine, Herr Shiryuu. I need no medical attention, ja?"
The international investigator glared at the youth. Sure, he was sitting. But it didn't mean he was healthy. "....let Kaoru check your pulse, then you can go." He said through gritted teeth.
"Nein, you can't make me," the young Gavin whined. He forced himself to stand up. At first he shivered lightly in his place, but after a few seconds he stood firmly in place. "I am fine. I need no help." He waved his hand dissapprovingly at everyone before carefully walking to the kitchen. Rou was not convinced and followed him into the kitchen, locking the door behind him.
Nicky sighed deeply as Rou and Klavier left and went over to the pink nurse, Kaoru. "Well, that was interesting," she joked.
"I should have left him there," Kaoru sighed and packed up her medical bag.
Nicky chuckled. "Considering he punched you a few weeks ago, I thought you would have left him."
"I would, Nicky. ...But I don't think the guilt would have been worth it."
"No, I don't think so either." And she smiled at her friend. "Well, it's not your problem now. So, I wouldn't worry about it."
"Yeah, you're right," Kaoru smiled at her friend and hugged her friend briefly. She was still a little worried about Klavier, but she thought her friend was right. I'm sure Rou can handle it, she mentally reassured herself.
Nicky smiled at Kaoru. But in the back of her mind, she was curious what was going on in the kitchen. It seemed suspicious to not want medical attention. Then again, it wasn't too long ago when Kaoru and Klavier fought each other. The teen may have lashed out at her friend because of that. It's probably nothing, she thought to herself.
The two of them talked idly for a few minutes, before Nicky realized the time. "I'll have to cut this conversation short, Kaoru. I have work in 20 minutes." She gave her friend a light hug. "If you see Nick, tell him I said Hi." She smiled.
"Will do, ne. You have a good night, Nicky." Kaoru returned the hug before waving her friend goodbye.
Nicky smiled and wave to her friend before heading out the door. But she stopped briefly to see the kitchen door open. Rou emerged from the kitchen doorway with a troubled expression on his face. He was followed by Klavier who looked like the direct opposite of Rou. He held a cheerful expression as he walked everyone in the lobby and headed upstairs to his room.
What the heck happened? Rou looks like he was punched in the stomach, she thought. But her mind went back to the task at hand. She now had less than 10 minutes to get to the restaurant, the Borscht Bowl on time. I'll have to talk to Rou tomorrow, she pondered lightly before shutting it out of her mind completely and dashing out of the complex.
