Because I figured I may as well explain this. It's something to do.
I'm agnostic. Which is a fancy way of saying "I don't ******** know". True, I don't know s**t about the afterlife, but you're know different. Nobody knows, they just believe in sopmething, most likely, something that was told to them by someone else. That's all fine and dandy, so long as they keep it to themselves. I can discuss the topic with them, but I'm not interested in preaching.
The idea of a Christian God is comforting, but I find his existance doubtful. If he does exist, then I reckon he's abandoned us. If he's so-say omni-______, he would have known the existance of humanity was a s**t idea. He probably checks up on us every now and then just to see how more ******** up we've become, and probably laughs at us for it. That, or he feels pretty s**t about it all. "I created these ********?"
As for those wacko Christians (Westboro Baptist Church is an example), I reckon if there was a God, a heaven and a hell, they'd be getting a mighty big suprise when they died. A certain something between a certain satyr's legs, to be vague about it. Now, I haven't read the bible, but in my eyes, they're really over-interpretating it. No, God doesn't hate gays, you just want religious justification for your homophobia, so you'll intentionally look for it. You wanna take something that's actually written there that doesn't take much interpretation, even through all it's rewrites? "Love thy neighbour", b***h.
I find that Athiests aren't all that great either. The ones who are overly vocal about it need a really hard punch to the face, because this is all it comes down to:
This guy has a book with a theory. This other guy has a different book with a different thoery. Neither side has any evidence of it, just a theory.
When someone takes their theory and enforce it upon other people as the truth, not only is it arrogant and irritating, but I think it's completely irrelevant. Pretending you're right about the creation of humanity will never make the trains run on time.
That's why I refuse to pick a side. I don't want to live my life being wrong. If there's a God, cool I suppose, and if there's not, fair enough. Either way is no skin off my back.
Instead of focusing on what happens when I die, I want to focus on what happens now, while I'm alive. What happens after I die doesn't make me a better man.
You a Christian/Atheist? I have respect for you. You're believing in something because you want to believe in it, even though there is every chance you're wrong as much as you're right. But don't wave your theory in front of my face, or get into ego-fueled arguements with an opposing party like it's a d**k-rubbing contest, because in the end, you're equally as clueless as me.
