Hi everyone! I have a bit to write about today, so bear with me. I recently asked myself this question: "Why do I complain so much?" You may wonder why I asked myself this question, right? Well, it is because I do a helluva lot of complaining. I don't know why I do it, either. I'm a college student with great grades, tons of friends, a very generous family, and I am (rather) healthy. Have you, those who complain often, ever considered why? Here are some things I notice myself complaining about:
1. I'm single
2. I'm lonely
3. I've been single for AGES
4. I can't find anybody
Now, you may say "Well those seem like legitimate reasons to complain, FragileHeart19!" You, sir/madam/whatever, are wrong. I have (oddly) come to the realization that, even if I am single, my life will go on. At this point in time, maybe it isn't the right time for me to have someone in my life to call mine. Whatever the reason, I am single, I should get used to it. So, the next time you complain, stop to think about why you are complaining. In fact, I challenge you to do somethings for me, okay? Here they come...
1. For the next week, whenever you find yourself complaining, stop it! Just cut yourself off from doing it.
2. Get a notebook from the store, even a cheap one (you can also use a random notebook from your stuff). For the next week I want you to write down, once a day, positive things about you/your life/whatever. I realize this may be hard, but do your best. If you can't come up with at least 3, write down why you can't do it. Oh! by the way, it cannot be the same 1-3 things every day.
3. At the end of YOUR week, leave me a comment with the following statistics: Did you cut yourself off? (Yes or No) What was your total of positive things? If you didn't at least get 10, you need to get positive! How do you feel about yourself after you did this?
Well everyone, I told you to bear with me, and I hope that you actually did. Let me know how things go, please! Good luck! Love to all, best wishes!
