I would just like to take a quick moment to say..... THIS IS PART 8!!!! We made it past part 7!! XD woot! Most of my stories end at part 7.. but this shall go on! hyuuu!~
Fai had drained his own strength using that spell here. There was no magic around this cabin that he could borrow. He had used his own amount of magic, which he wasn't ready for. He pushed himself to move into the cabin. He felt tired and beaten. Jynette just watched him worriedly. He moved around the room, leaving his usual grace at the door. He stumbled over to a chair and set himself down. He frowned at himself. Jynette took a step closer to him.
"Is something wrong?" She waited patiently for his reply. He glared at the table, barely even hearing her through his own thoughts.
"I can't.. I'm just useless! I can't even do a simple spell on my own. How will I ever get anywhere if I can't even...?" he made an irritated noise. "I need more practice again... more training." He seemed as though he were speaking to himself. Jynette looked at the kid quietly. This was the first time she heard any growing emotion in his voice. She sat down in the chair across from him, finding it to be colder than she would've liked.
"Thanks for helping me," she said to him.
The boy just shook his head. "I can't help anyone." he spoke quietly, almost a whisper.
