Sinner (Or At Least What You Think Is One):
Here’s what I woke up to
Religious mama screaming, “Look at you!”
She assumed I was the sinner kind
But image isn’t fashion; it’s a state of mind
I’m not a sinner because of my hair
I’m not a sinner because I want life to be fair
I’m not a sinner because of the music I listen to
I’m not a sinner because I live unlike you
I know of a girly whose head has some extra holes
Doesn’t mean she’ll get on the stripper poles
Mama hands me a bible saying I need to respect it
I say, “I’m not in the mood for any of your bullshit”
I’m not a sinner because I want a revolution
I’m not a sinner because I went through evolution
I’m not a sinner because I don’t say grace
I’m not a sinner for not believing in your heavenly place
All because I don’t say a Hail Mary
You have to get all scary
Can’t you just let me live my way?
I guess not, your insanity’s here to stay
