I don't know if I've ever really talked about my job in here a whole lot, but there is a lot going on right now.
To start things off, our District Manager has been on a tirade for the past 3 weeks. It seems like she's desperate to get her credit app goal more than a sales goal. She has been on everyone's a** about credit. When a store fails, she gets pissed. When a store succeeds, she doesn't even notice. Our store sold 3 one carat solitaires this weekend alone and she didn't even say anything about it. What kind of boss doesn't commend for a job well done? Not Amy Gauthier!
Next came the heart stopping reality. My manager, Jean, has been looking for a new job without really telling anyone. Saturday she got hired at a different jewelry store and has resigned. Amy doesn't know it yet though... then here's the best part. I might still be able to work under her at her new place of employment. I really hope I can... I idolize her and she's the best boss you can ask for.
Now it's a race to see who can get out of the store first. It's like we're all rats on a sinking ship and the last one on board drowns. I won't drown. I plan on applying everywhere I can. Whether I'm a receptionist full time elsewhere or jewelry consultant, or even assistant manager at one location. I'm gonna get out alive.
All hell is gonna break loose tomorrow... I shall (hopefully) return after we hear Amy's wrath about Jean resigning and let you know how it goes... *gulp*
