We had to do this fast or we'd all die in here! Sam probably was thinking the same thing, since he took off down the hall. However, he tripped on a floorboard that was bent slightly. Thank goodness he did! The board cracked and revealed a hole.
"Hello?" called a voice. Matthias! Lilith and I dove to the floor and ripped up the wooden floor around it. Matthias flew out of the hole. Lilith kissed him. I ran to Sam.
"Can you believe it Sam? You saved him!" I said and in a second I was in his arms. Then Sam almost kissed me but he pulled away.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Uh....I have philemaphobia," he answered.
"What?"
"The fear of kissing," he admitted.
"Oh," his face was still closed to mine. "Well, will you still have that fear after this?" I asked and then I kissed him. It was....nice......I guess. Then I remembered the fire. It was spreading even faster. I pulled away.
"We have to get out of here," I said.
Everyone raced to the closest window and Robert broke it. Then all of us jumped out and went to the forest. We found a few mossy logs to sit on and we gathered around and listened to the burning cottage crackle. Sam brought a burning stick from the cottage and lighted his own fire. Then he left. Adin and Matthias were talking and laughing.
"Where's Sam?" asked Lilith. I pointed to the hill. The pink moon was tonight, and Sam was a black shadow beneath it. When he came back, Adin and Matthias played a joke on him by splashing water on his pants so it looked like he...well....went to the bathroom. It was hilarious.
