Secret Retreat: It had its first evo. =D Not too shabby. It's a decent first evolution.
Catastrophe: Actually updated. o: It's been a loooong time. Reapersun made a journal entry recently. She said that she has time to work on the Case and Cat so she's going to try to work ahead as much as possible. I was hoping for a Case update first though. I don't like bloody clothing and I've been stuck for months with a phase that I can't use anything from. Cat is giving what's expected. We got a fat cat and a fat cat with junk on it on Friday. So far today (Saturday), we got the "photogenic" pose. This EI looked promising at the start because the mouse toy and catnip are at least usable. The rest of these poses haven't been accessory items. I have to build outfits around them to use them.
I want to know why the catastrophe model used non-goldshop items, yet they were not listed.

So far you can take a personality quiz to get something for your sig. No item. The profile says to watch for a scavenger hunt. I'm looking forward to the scavenger hunt because that hopefully means a free item~

Golden Eggs

The golden eggs hatched on June 1st. You get a bundle with two items. One is a ring that boosts luck. The other is an item with a gold egg, gold cape and gold crown. I totalllly didn't expect a ring to come out of the egg. The current luck boosts in zOMG are:

100% Ghi Boost - 5 luck

Fortune's Favor - 13 luck

The ring is currently 300k. The golden egg is 310k, the regal adornment bundle is 330k and the regal adornment is 40k. ....Can anyone say, "Hello small profit"? XD Buy the golden egg, and open it to make 30k by selling the parts~

The ring will not soulbind to your account when equipped.

CS Update: Bears and Blossoms
A cute update. Why does Gaia have to tempt me so? Just when I decide to actually focus on a quest, Gaia releases two items that are in the orange/green color scheme. D: That's one of my favorite color schemes. Grr.

Animated Items

The date to buy animated items was extended. The items will also now be animated until July 15th.
"We're also cooking up some cosmic goodness to recharge Animated Items after July 15th--"
Since then, the "Blessed Stellarite" has begun to appear in the DC, so I've heard.

This brings up many, many questions.
There's a lot of paranoia over how animated items will replace the evolving items. I haven't tracked down original quotes yet. All I know is that people have said that lanzer said that animated items and CIs are the wave of the future.
We already have less EIs and less people working on EIs and EIs are lower priority than other tasks...
I won't be happy if that happens. The current animated items cost just as much as EIs, but only give me one pose. Psssh. Granted, I'll take an animated item that I will use over an EI full of poses I won't use. However, EIs are often filled with very versatile poses. I'd rather get more poses for my money. (But hey, if EIs leave the CS, I'll have nothing left to spend cash on. ;D It'd be cheaper for me. XD)
And the other point I want to bring up: The Blessed Stellarite.
I was hoping for a gold sink. Make people pay 75k or so to have their item reanimated for a month. That would help take gold out of circulation. But nope, you must use an item and it comes from the DC. One, good thing it's not a CS item. I would have raised a stink about that. XD; And another argument, it's good that it's in the DC because then all people get a chance at obtaining one for free. While that's all good and dandy, just wait til Social Daily Chance kicks in. There will be much fewer people in the upper tier that even get a chance at the stellarites. Expect the stellarites to stay inflated at that rate.

Random News
I wrote my last journal entry so late that I forgot to include this awesome piece of info: I got 3rd place Week 19 of 2010 in the Original Avatar Arena.
I never in a million years thought that would happen. And, I must say, I saw many, many avatars I thought would beat mine and they didn't even place. x .x; You know, as usual, since each week has awesome entries that should beat out the actual winners but never do. So~ thank you so much to everyone who voted. And another thank you to those of you who placed a link to my entry in your sigs.
I didn't even have internet on the final Sunday of voting and didn't get back to the internet until that Wednesday so it was a wonderful surprise to return to.
I don't want to reply to all of the critics because I shouldn't have to explain myself. Just know that the avatar looked exactly how I wanted it to. Yes, the facial features didn't match as well as the rest of the items. However, I had to sacrifice a bit of matching to obtain the expression I wanted. No, she wasn't supposed to be ethereal and regal. She was snobby. I'm sorry, I guess the tone didn't come through the description as well as I thought it would. I didn't want it to be too obvious.

I haven't undertaken a huge and major quest since the end of 2005. > < I've done small quests here and there, but nothing big. I go crazy worrying about inflation and can't concentrate on things in real life since all I can think about is Gaia. It's bad. I wish I were strong enough to handle questing, but I just can't.
Back then, I quested HotD and they were ~100k.
There are many, many items that I want and have said no to due to price. However, there's been one item eating away at me for the past couple months. I really really want it. o wo It's almost a need, but mostly a want. My quest for it officially started on June 1st. Until then, I'll try to buy as little as possible since I'm not the fastest at making gold.
I now understand why prices are so high on things though. People can have 100k in two hours or less of BGing. Holy crap. My computer can't process BG fast enough to give me those numbers, but at least I still get gold.
Anyway, I've been tinkering and editing the AMG guide for the past few months. Any spare time was spent on editing. It's killing me that I'm not editing the small details that are driving me nuts. However, editing takes up hours and hours. @. x; Soooo I will not edit the guide I've finished my quest or else I'll never make any gold each day. You don't make gold by spending hours editing one post. XD;;

Other than that, I still enjoy playing the ukulele, it's fun. x3 I sat down the other day and watched a bunch of uke/acoustic guitar vids. I have a lot of songs lined up to learn how to play. It won't take long though. They're all easy strumming songs and I know all the chords already. I just have to learn which chords and in what order.
My latest two on acoustic guitar are "blister in the sun" by violent femmes and "all for you" by sister hazel. Blister in the sun is much easier to play than it sounds. XD And pretty recognizable. I struggle with the speed of All for You. The chords are easy. I just have difficulty switching from Cadd9 to Am to D and back to G so quickly. I can do it, but it's difficult. So I figure it's a good song to practice on.
