In the dead silence of the shop, I could only hear the sounds of the crowd bustling behind me. In great worry I leaped over the front desk and into the back room. I was dark, cold. I couldn't make out the furniture placement either and I stumbled to the darkness. My eyes eventually adjusted to the light. I could see clearer now. I scrabbled about the nearly visible floor in search of light. I was able to find a candle in my fathers work desk under a pile of parchment. In relief of my finding I was faced with yet another problem..
I had no light for the candle. At the moment it was useless to me so i decided to search for the door instead maybe with my improved vision I could make it out. I inched my way along the wall. But then, suddenly I felt a jolt in my gut and realized.
My body was caving into the wall, not too far but far enough for me to notice something behind it. I could make it out but before it stood a painting It shook slightly and loss its support and landed right on my arm. I tried to ignore the pain and focused on what I was doing. Beyond that painting was a switch, none like I had ever seen. I couldn't make out the color but it was diamond shaped, certainly made of silver or copper. Wedged between its silver lining was a skull and had the appearance of a gravestone. I felt its ridged yet cold edges. Eventually I was able to make out its activation mechanism. I first put my two fingers into the eye sockets of the man-made skull and then pushed it outward, then down. I then released my fingers, not soon after it's shape began to take form of no longer a skull, or at least not right side up.
No the skull had seemed to have been flipped upside down somehow. Of course me, blind as a bat, could barley see how the appearance had changed, I ran my fingers down the cold metal and after a few seconds had passed, the walls caved in more and more.
I gasped and retreated a few inches back. I noticed that the walls had revealed a passageway. I stared at it for the longest time I couldn't move. but finally I brought myself to take a step towards the narrow stone hallway. I was able to build up enough to even step in a couple of feet. when I reached about halfway down My eyes began to light up.
However it wasn't my eyes that had lite up. It seemed that the hallway was Illuminated with fives maybe tens of touch lights on the stone walls. I continued to walk forward until I could see something in the distance. It was yet another wall. However, this one wasn't made of stone but marble and it had awe aspiring detailing, But nothing more...
"Why would someone go all this way down just for this" I asked myself. I strained my mind thinking of another solution, I stepped back and looked up at the stone lining around it I could see the figures of lion heads. I didn't know what possessed me to reach my hand out and touch one. The wall in front of me collapse and I saw a room in the distance I took a step in. I gasped and gazed in awe at the sight of it all.
