4:30am. That's the current time. Odd time for someone to be making a journal entry, right? Well, that is true. Anyone that knows me well knows that the only reason why I'd be up so late is because I had another nightmare.. or I screwed up and had caffeine in some form too late at night.

That's right gaia. For the fourth night in a row, I had a nightmare. I really wish it would stop... I'd love to make it through the night peacefully again.
Normally, I'm the type of person that will dream 6 or 7 times a month if I'm lucky. Out of those few dreams I'll very rarely have a nightmare. Even if i do, they're not that terrible. I can usually just shake it off and go back to sleep. Lately they've been too graphic. I can't get back to sleep. Instead, I close my eyes and my mind begins to wander. I don't like what it's showing me... Bad memories and things that its making up on its own. I wont go into detail.
As for the dreams themselves, the first is too horrible. I don't want to talk about it. The next night, I had the same dream again.
On the third, a shark attack. Which is odd because I'm not really bothered by sharks. I'm actually rather fascinated by them. Don't get me wrong though, if I'm swimming in the ocean and a fin pops up beside me, I'll climb over people to get out of the water! My family found that one out first hand. Ah... gotta love the dolphins. I sure felt silly after that.
As for the dream itself, its summer and I'm spending an afternoon out on my uncle's yacht. Im alone... on the river! Yes i know bull sharks live in both salt and fresh water, but not out on Nickajack lake! Only real things you have to worry about out there is landing the boat, getting too close to the dam, and maybe having a stupid little gnat (jet ski) smack into the side of the boat. Next issue is being alone. Sure boats are easy to drive, but its stupid to go out alone. Especially on one that size. That just adds to the whole scare factor I suppose.
Alright, enough analyzing. Onto the dream itself. Oh, and I need to mention that I dream in 3rd person.
I'm out on the back of the boat sunbathing and i start to get a little warm. So whats the best way to cool off when you're out on a boat? The obvious choice of course, go swimming. I dive into the water and its really quite nice. I relax in the waves for a while, then the typical jaws move. Something grabs me by the leg and pulls me under. Blood shoots up to the surface of the water. I pop up and scream for help, nobody is there. Then this GIANT (I'm talking 100ft long here) shark pops up and swallows me whole. That's when i wake up.
Onto tonight's nightmare. I wont go into a lot of detail because I'm starting to get really dizzy due to the past few days without sleep.
This is a reoccurring nightmare from my childhood. You can thank Jurassic Park for this one. I'm starting to think that maybe i watched too much TV as a kid...
It starts like this. I'm asleep in bed and i slowly start to wake up in the morning. My sister is in the doorway frozen with fear. I turn to see whats so scary, a giant glowing red eye is in the window, staring at us. I scream and the beast smashes through the wall with its tail. I grab my sister by the back of her shirt and run. We get into the kitchen and yay! More dinosaurs! This time, a pair of raptors. We bolt out the back door with the two raptors right behind us. (at this time, the dream changes to 1st person) We run through the back yard and run though the gates to the front yard. I turn and look over to my right and see a T-Rex, he's still destroying my bedroom. For some reason, we decide that its a great idea to hide in the bed of my dad's little S10. Bad idea... One of the raptors peeks over the side and growls. I wake up.
I don't know whats going on in my head, but i wish it would stop. I cant really make sense of them, besides a primal fear of being eaten. Gotta love the caveman days... That's the only thing those 2 have in common.
I'll talk to my Psychology professor Thursday after class and see if she can make sense of them. But for now, I'm going to attempt to get some rest.
